Sukriti Beach Resort

Sukriti is a true little paradise in Kerala! The beach right there, a beautiful garden an amazing family run place, where you feel very safe and cared for. It is quiet, peaceful, and if you want a little more 'action' (restaurants/shopping) 'the cliff' is in walking distance, a beautiful walk with spectaculair views. Oh and the food at Sukriti is also lovely!

Located in a place where you can see amazing sunsets over the sea, this resort has a nice terrace suitable for various activities, including yoga sessions and small live concerts. Practicing yoga on the terrace is a unique experience, especially during the morning and at sunset. I spent two weeks here, the staff is genuinely kind and helpful. The thing I liked the most is that it's run in an environmentally sustainable way; I really appreciated the management's ethical approach. The food is great, daily made with fresh ingredients, and the atmosphere is relaxed with an authentic Indian touch. They've got free filtered water, available at any time. My single room was very clean, and laundry services were available upon request. Embracing nature is essential when staying in India, at the resort there are some nice dogs and coconut palms, so you can ask for a fresh coconut. The resort is really close to Edava town (5-minute walking) where you can shop, and the tourist area of Varkala Cliff (30 minutes), offering markets, tailors, and more. I'd definitely come back for the laid-back vibes, beach access, and, of course, the wonderful people I had the pleasure of meeting.

Sukriti resort is not a place for everyone, as are beautiful and authentic things. If you are looking for a cozy, quiet and peaceful place then come along. The choice of Silvana, the owner of the resort, is one of respect for the environment and Indian tradition. Luckily she decided to provide filtered water for her guests in order to reduce plastic consumption. The love for the garden can be seen as soon as you enter, full of flowers and plants. Another thing I appreciated is the cleanliness of the rooms, a western standard. And then there's Sahji, the soul of Sukriti, always available to guests' requests. Always kind and smiling, a real pearl of the resort. For dog lovers: it's great to be in India and see that dogs are well cared for and respected. What can I say... only for people looking for the authentic!

This was my second time at Sukriti. Last year alone and this year with a group of students with whom we shared a practice on the beautiful terrace of the resort.|The resort in its simplicity has something very special which is the familiarity with which it welcomes you... in a moment under the beautiful coconut palms and the fantastic birds you feel at home.|I recommend this place for those who still want to travel while being in touch with nature.

Wonderful service. Simple and down-to-earth standard. Very affordable and right on the beach in a beautiful area. If we come back to this area we will stay there again. Great and friendly taxi drivers connected with the resort. If you are not looking for fancy or luxury but instead want simple living in a beautiful place with a kind and environmentally conscious owner and friendly personnel - Sukriti is the spot for you!

Positive: The location which is just next to the beach- the garden is well-maintained with cute hammocks; the beach nearby is clean, less crowded and safe. The friendly and responsive hosts. The awesome food - options are limited but the food is very healthy and tasty. The restaurant is sea-facing and we spent a lot of time listening to the waves and eating slowly. In all - a very relaxing, rustic weekend getaway for me and my husband. My three-year old enjoyed it very much too. It's very affordable for the location - from my Internet search - other decent resorts in the locality charge a bomb.. Negative: The fan in the room was running slow because of low voltage in the entire locality. It was hot. There are around 5 dogs in the property which have a free run. It's a bit scary when they are agitated and surround you, barking - especially if you are not used to dogs..

I absolutely love coming to visit Kerala and Sukriti Beach Resort every time i am in India. The place is beautiful and is very relaxing, all of the staff are friendly and nice. i love the palm trees with coconuts and the property is right on the beach, with access to walk into town! I can't wait to come back! Would recommend 100%! lots of love to everyone at Sukriti and I hope to see you all again soon!
