Gruenberg Tea Plantation Haus

This is a great place. It's situated just in the middle of a tea plantation. The staffs are courteous and welcoming. I stayed here for the new year 2025. The dinner served on the rooftop with the chill breeze and water flowing sound was like music. You can take lovely pictures outside this property when you walk around the tea plantation. The food from the in-house kitchen was also excellent. I didn't have any complaints except it's a small stand alone property with few rooms ( which is not our concern as long as ) with the perfect stay, food, ambience, privacy, picterisque view everything were perfect. Highly Recommended

I recently stayed at Gruenberg and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The property is incredibly beautiful, surrounded by stunning scenery that makes the entire stay feel like a retreat into nature. Every room was maintained in top-notch condition--clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged. What truly made our stay exceptional was the warm and hospitable staff. A special shout-out to Mr. Ajesh, who went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable throughout. His dedication and attentiveness really stood out and made a big difference in our overall experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with world-class service!

The hotel is in urgent need of renovation! The room furnishings, including the bed covers, are very worn out. The ceiling is full of mold stains, the windows don't close properly, and while the furniture is functional, it is not cozy. At times, the electricity went out, and for one day, there was only cold water in the shower. That's for the negatives. However, the hotel is uniquely located in the middle of a tea plantation, where guests can take relaxing walks. It is incredibly peaceful, offering breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The rooms are relatively affordable. Ajesh, the heart and soul of the hotel, and his colleagues are exceptionally kind and attentive. Ordering food is easy via WhatsApp, with meals delivered directly to your room or the rooftop terrace, which offers a fantastic view. The prices are very reasonable, and the food is of good quality, always freshly prepared. Due to illness, I had to leave a day earlier. The hotel was incredibly accommodating and did not charge me for the extra night, even though they could have. I am giving 4 stars for the location and the amazing staff. Thank you for the great service--I would love to come back!

This is an amazing property . Location is a little far from main Munnar city but the views you get here are awesome, specially in the evening and in the morning. The sounds of different kinds of birds here , calms your mind. Room service is good and fast. Menu options are limited , not more. You can go here by car or by auto. Excellent location with mountain view and top floor view of tea estates is mesmerizing during breakfast and dinner with the mist descending into the valley. Breakfast is your choice and prepared home style with choices for each day. The manager Arvind was very helpful in arranging for trips around and into Munnar. Breakfast was very tasty and so was dinner prepared in their kitchen

Rooms are neat and the property is located in a calm and peaceful tea estate. There is a water stream running underneath the property and the location is scenic. The team running the property has great hospitality. They are always welcoming. Food is good. The property is a bit of a walk from Chitrapuram south if you don't have a car, but manageable. Mr Vijay also suggested us an alternate property for our extended stay because this was full. Overall a great experience.

Set in a beautiful location amongst the tea plantation with great views. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were all great helping with tours and travel arrangements. The food was terrific Ajesh made sure it was cooked to our preference each night.

We stayed two nights in room 108. We had an amazing stay at Gruenberg. The room is spacious, clean and very bright which we liked. All staff members are very friendly and helpful. Parking and washing possibilities for our driver were provided which was important to us.
