Grace Inn Munnar Homestay

We had an unforgettable stay at Grace Inn homestay. Mr.Vinu is a very helpful and nice person. We felt like home away from home. The location is excellent with complete scenic views and bird chirping sounds. We had breakfast and dinner ( it's made on prior request). Food was delicious. Mr.Vinu also helped my husband to get taxi at a short notice for bird photography. If anyone wants to stay in a calm beautiful and safe place, I would recommend this one strongly. And added point is price is reasonable here. Thank you Mr.Vinu once again.

We had a wonderful stay with Vinu, Shabana and their super cute son Maverick. It was really the perfect Homestay and we felt lucky to have found it. Our room had a balcony with a gorgeous view, the beds were super comfy and the food was delicious. Vinu was also really helpful advising us on trekking, guides and what to see in the local area. And we had a lovely Christmas Eve with a traditional cake! We'd definitely come back if we're in the area again

It was a great stay with Vinu and his family. Thanks, Vinu for hosting us. Personally, I love quiet places and yours was just apt. With 360 amazing views, and sparkling clean place, this could be a good choice for many travellers. Vinu is very helpful in arranging cabs for transport, sight-seeing as well as hiking activities. We also loved the home-cooked food at their place, it also simplified our logistics. One thing to be noted is that, usually Munnar is not very walk-friendly. Even for short distances it is safer to take cab. Vinu's place is somewhat away from Munnar downtown, but with proper planning and Vinu's suggestion it worked our very well for us.

We had an amazing stay with Vinu and is family. Beautiful location near a tea estate. Views are spectacular especially from the roof. Nice to watch the sunset over the mountains. Room was clean and comfortable and good to have a balcony to sit out. Bed was very comfortable. The food was amazing. We ate there for breakfast and dinner each day. Vinu organised a sightseeing trip and a hike. The hike was excellent. Our guide Vijay was first class. We climbed up through hillsides, forests and tea estates. We were even lucky enough to see an elephant.

Vinu and his family were the perfect hosts! Really amazing people who went beyond and above to give us a good experience. The room and food is fine. However, it is the tours that Vinu can arrange for you that really is the reason you should book this homestay. The first day Vinu booked us with the sweetest tuktuk driver to go sightseeing, whihc really was a calm and interesting day. The next day was even better, as Vinu had set us up with the hiking guide Vijay who showed us his own trail to Munnar top station. We did not meet a single group on our way up to Munnar top and I am sure you cannot get this amazing trek with additional highlights without having Vijay showing you to the top.

Loved our stay! My friend and I stayed 4 nights at Grace Inn. Vinu helped us organise different activities each day (1 tuktuk tour of Munnar, 2 day hikes and a massage) which made our trip really easy. We ate breakfast and dinner at the Homestay each day, the meals were amazing! The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. It was easy to bus to/from Munnar if required, Vinu can also help organise tuktuk transport. Would highly recommend this Homestay for anyone travelling to Munnar (also would be safe as a solo female traveller). Thank you Vinu!

We spent 3 days at Christmas with Vinu and Shabana and beautiful little Maverick (and the 3 dogs) and we loved every minute of it. The room was spotless and the bed was really comfortable (Vinu actually had them tailor made), and we had access to a lovely terrace which has incredible sunset views. The property is on a very steep road but it's a great location, only 5 min walk from Chithirapuram viewpoint. The homecooked food was delicious and we graciously were even able to share christmas lunch with the family, and Vinu bought cake and Goan sweet wine for us to celebrate Christmas Eve. Vinu also let us know about celebrations happening in the town and we saw really cool Hindu processions, and on our final day he let us stick around after checking out to organise our onward travel and really kindly even gave us a lift to the bus stop. Vinu kindly helped us organise 2 activities while in Munnar. The first was a day trip with a driver who took us to some popular sights around Munnar and ended in nearby Anakulam to watch wild elephants come to drink in the river. The language barrier was a bit of a hurdle and there were some miscommunications and the stops got mixed up, but we called Vinu and he was able to help resolve things - for foreign travellers I'd recommend getting the itinerary in writing before setting off. Despite the confusions we ended up seeing what we wanted to and the elephants made it all worth it! On Christmas morning, Vinu organised a walk through a tea plantation and up to a viewing point with Vijayan, who is a local legend and was very knowledgable about the tea and plants, the birds and local animals, and he even brought us snacks - we had such a lovely morning with Vijayan! Would definitely recommend! Overall we couldn't recommend Grace Inn enough - it really felt like home which was so nice for us spending our first Christmas away from our families. Perfect homestay. Vinu was helpful in organizing an amazing hike with Vijay, and taxi to explore the area. His wife's food was amazing, we got to try idyappam and coconut pancakes for breakfast and different curries and veggies for dinner. Better than any restaurant in the area. Location is great, next to a sunset point. Easily accessible by bus or auto from/to Munnar center. We also left on the morning bus to alleypey from there. Thank you to Vinu and his family!
