Tea Castle

We had a lovely and comfy stay at Tea Hut resorts Munnar. |Hotel is located on the main road en route from Adimali to Munnar so access is quite easy.|Hotel has a good view of the mountains and rooms have a balcony to take in the view.|Staff was excellent- we were welcomed with a warm cinnamon tea.. quite nice for the cool weather in Munnar. Gave us a good intro on room and facilities. All toiletries available (soap/shampoo/ towels) and complimentary water. Refills are provided on request. Staff is very professional and welcoming.||Restaurant food was excellent- authentic and rates(dinner was extra charge) was reasonable. Breakfast spread was different for each day and had all tasty foods. Its a great start to each morning before the trip to different places in Munnar. Staff at restaurant was also very accommodating and attended to us even when there was another large group of 60 sth people at that time.||Facilities- rooms are very clean. Housekeeping is done daily if the keys are left bac with reception. Towels are changed daily which was very nice as in the cold weather , the towels didn't dry too well in a day after use. New water bottles are kept daily. Free wifi is available as well.||The hotel also has a map in the reception and restaurant level which shows the major sites to visit.||Overall a really wonderful visit at affordable pricing. Most special was the excellent staff. Look forward to visiting again.

A good hotel - clean rooms, good service, food taste was good in the restaurant, polite staff. The compliment breakfast was very good too. One suggestion: can include some local Kerala food items in the menu - pazham pori/ puttu kadalai, etc. Overall a pleasant stay for us, we stayed for 3 days.

Very Nice Hotel... with nice Staff. Overall 5 Star . The rooms were top-notch with great view of the mountains. Breakfast had a decent variety and was very hygienic and tasty. The staff was helpful and made sure our requests are fulfilled quickly.

I loved this place the staff is kind The view is amazing everything is good only the restaurant needs little makeover praveen was very polite and always smiling just what you expect from a good hotel I will definitely visit again

It was cheating experience, I booked the hotel through Cleartrip for my family [three Adult and one kid]. But they informed me that kid booking not showing and asked me very high amount, I was really pain full experience in first time. I request the show the booking advice from Cleartrip but the booking of kid was there and unlawfully asking more money. After long argument with the Manager finally they confussed for the things happened. Moreover initially they provided worst room and insisted me to change better room by paying Rs 1500 additional. No comments for breakfast it is only a name sake food.

Travel agency booked this hotel for us stating it was 'luxury'. It is not. The bed was comfy enough and the room was relatively clean? However, the walls were beyond paper thin and we could hear a man violently throwing up all night in his room down the hall. Our 'luxury view' included a street level balcony that looked directly into a busy road and a parking lot where many drivers were sleeping in their cars (a whole separate issue that these travel agencies are not taking care of their drivers). Beyond that, there are large gaps in the bathroom walls leading directly outside as well as screen windows with no glass coverings that you can shut allowing hideous amounts of noise from the very busy street lying directly next to the hotel to come into the room, making sleep nearly impossible. When we asked about changing rooms, the man at the reception was not at all apologetic and straight up lied to us stating that all the other rooms were booked (they were clearly not- it was Sunday night and we saw a number of people check out and leave the hotel, this man just clearly did not want to go through the trouble of helping us). When we ordered room service, the food took 1.5 hours and had sand in it, a subpar meal to say the least. The WiFi worked intermittently and was very spotty at best. The rest of the staff we interacted with were very kind besides the one man at reception. Breakfast was good and kitchen staff were accommodating. Nonetheless I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a good (or even decent) nights rest or is looking for any sort of luxury stay.
