M.R Residency & Restaurant

Please don't look at earlier reviews and pics. Those were from the days when the property was new. All the rooms are filled with cockroaches and paint is peeling off from walls. No restaurant, no lift and the pics are far fetched from reality. Pls note - Not at all suitable for families

One of the worst service I have ever seen in my entire life. The rooms are neat but the service is very horrible the staff is kept here to fight with the customers, the bedsheets are not changed the door locks don't work, it is a absolute nightmare to stay here, the only reason why I took this hotel is because the cost was low when compared to the other hotels in this locality. If you are looking for a vegetarian restaurant this is the last place you want to visit, there is a pungent odour coming from the restaurant. Take my sincere suggestion please take another hotel.

Our last trip to Varkala was 5 years ago, and we knew what we wanted for this visit. We were looking for somewhere away from the main action, but close enough to visit. Somewhere on the sea, and not too expensive. MR fitted the bill, and more!||Great food, on the beach, quiet, a healthy hour walk along the beach from Varkala, an easy cycle ride to another provincial town for beer supplies, friendly staff - it all meant that we stayed much longer than we expected.

Nice hotel for a short stay ,Good rooms at a reasonable price . Cooperative staff and good service.A/C and non A/C rooms available with hot water . Located bit inside but easily accessible from the main road and charumoodu junction.Placed in charumoodu ,best location for visitors who are planning visits to nearby temples like Anayadi temple,Poruvazhy perumthuruthi temple,Vetticode temple and Sani deva temple .Only drawback is the non availability of restaurant ,which was there but now closed .Nearby small hotels are there for tasty local food

Rooms are at affordable price. However last time, the fans are not working which made us to switch to ac rooms.close to the main road. The small canal just opposite to the hotel will be a good view during rainy days...

Nice experience ..quiet and green surroundings...if looking for a night stay and on budget go for non AC room cost just rs.500..neat and clean..

Best in that area & has tasty food( chineese,indian ,continental etc...) Has good parking facility . It is an AC Restaurant Has Rooms AC & Non AC @ Affortable Price It even has a conference I am fully satisfied with their service

A family hotel with A/C & Non A/C room. Budget rooms. Having indoor restaurant and bakers. A conference hall that can occupy around 150 people for family functions.
