Overhyped and Underwhelming Experience Rating: 1.5/5 I stayed at Challiyil Castle nights, unfortunately, it didn't live up to my expectations. Here's why: - The photos online were misleading, and the actual room was smaller and less maintained. - The cleanliness was subpar, with dust and dirt accumulating in corners. - The host was not very welcoming or helpful, and seemed disinterested in our needs. - The amenities promised, such as Wi-Fi were not functioning properly. - The neighborhood was noisy, and the thin walls made it difficult to sleep. Considering the price and the glowing reviews, I expected a much better experience. Sadly, this Challiyil Castle fell short

I just visited the lounge bar on the second floor. Very old in style. Not at all attractive. No vibe there. Just look like the bars in 80"s Malayalam Movies. The bar girls are not trained well. They were just sitting behind the counter and talking all the time. Didnt get proper service. Not recommending.

We are waiting in the lobby from 5.50am today (27/12/2024)till now no one has come. No receptionist, no staff. Security opened the gate and told us to sit in the lobby Now it is 6.44am still no one is available for contact. No curtesy call from the hotel staff on client arrival now it's 7.15 still no one has arrived Now it's 7.40am no one has arrived. Even house keeping staff are also not available pathetic situation Now it's 8.05am still no one has arrived this is so embarrassing

The rooftop restaurant is wonderful, with natural plants arranged in a way that creates a sense of privacy. It feels as though each team is in their own individual space. Really recommended for families..

This is hotel which determines people standard by their attire. Even if you visit in Rolls Roys please wear a trouser. They are strictly against dothi. This is hotel located in rural cherthala area. I don't know when they will come to 2024. I am staying in ernakulam there also some hotels restrict dothi entry to their premium lounge just to keep their standard. But this one and only hotel whom doesnot allow dothi to step in to the hotel lobby. Grow up dear owner My Reply : Thankyou for the reply. First of all you make sure that your staff and security understand this policy. The way you intend the policy and the way staff convey the policy is day night diffrence. You mentioned in the reply that we have other restaurants , all the person standing there told me sir you cannot enter the hotel lobby with this dress . No restaurant is shown to us even if entered there with my 2 year old nephew.Only they told me there is local bar outside the hotel promises where you can enter, through the main entrance you cannot enter with this dress. Please do not reply the comment for a name sake. Is there any way to determine a person clothes neatness, unwashed or colourlessness , is there any person standing there to look after how much intervel the guest clothes are washed or something. If you want to implement any rule do it a right way. Here the policies and all are good execution is poor. Always remember customer is the king. Policies will change. Even if you change this policy I will never step in to the hotel anymore ........ By Gods grace for the time I can see and read all the boards. I saw all the boards written there. But the people standing there not allowing to enter the hotel. At the time should I shamelessly ask your people will you enter me to restuarant or executive bar. Once a guest entry restricted is always restricted.

Very luxury hotel and a great place to spend holidays They have very good and kind staff

Chilli chicken and fry was good. But porotta not good, was too hard and seems to be a preserved one
