I stayed here with a larger group tour (for 1 night) in December 2024. |The house is beautiful and very atmospheric and charming. Really something from a bygone era! |It was great to be able to relax here and take in the peaceful and quiet atmosphere. Grace and her lovely family provided us with delicious, local food for dinner and breakfast and welcomed us warmly into their family home. |In terms of practicalities, the bedrooms have a ceiling fan (no air conditioning), and the hot water came and went a bit, so not ideal for those that expect all "mod cons". However, there is Wi-Fi. |None of that really seemed to matter though, when staying in such a special and unique place. Many thanks again to Grace and family for such a memorable and unique stay!

stayed here two nights as part of a tour, ate all our meals here which were superb! room was comfortable if a little spartan looking (its a homestay not a hotel!) and bed easy to sleep in, we had no aircon only a fan over the bed but it was not a problem despite the very hot weather. Nice to sit on the veranda after a days cycling or touring, ejoying a beer with the other tour members. We were kindly shown around the gardens and saw rubber trees, all the spices, fruits, and basically anything needed to cook being grown in their gardens.

Stayed here for one night with Gracie and her family. An amazing homestay with a very welcoming family. The rooms are beautiful; the original Planters house accommodated 18 of us. If you expecting a 5 star hotel then you will be disappointed. If you want to experience a genuine homestay with a lovely family then you will love this. Gracie is a great cook and prepared a traditional Keralan meal for us for lunch - a banquet presented on a banana leaf. Nothing was too much trouble for the family.

Spent 2 nights here as part of our cycling tour of kerala and enjoyed it. The rooms are large, spartan, basic and relatively clean. The place is very large and has a massive dining area. The garden is extensive and provides most of the needs of the household and its guests, Grace is very hospitable and gave us a tour of the garden with patient explanation of all the vegetables, spices and fruits.||What i was disappointed about was that as a group of 18 hungry cyclists the food was a little lacking in quantity, certainly not quality.I would go so far as to say the number of main dishes could have been doubled.

Lovely place although rooms quite spartan as other reviewers have said.|Grace and her family are tremendous hosts - cooked us a lovely lunch on arrival. Dinner would probably also have been good, but too full from lunch to really enjoy it.|The house is a real oasis of calm and tranquility especially after 6 nights in Indian cities.

We stayed here for 1 night as part of a tour group. Grace and Reema could not do enough to ensure that we had a comfortable stay. The food they provided was the best we had all holiday, The house is full of artifacts from different periods. There is a water purification system so that you are able to fill water bottles there.||||A lovely place to stay with friendly and helpful owners.

Good quality home stay with some facilities hit and miss like water,electricity and air con (you're in India). We stayed in adjacent house with meals at Planters. Hosts excellent with home cooking, great spice garden, wi Fi, family will sort any problems. Sleep good. We had a cooking demo and then ate the food. Family fun to be with.

Grace and her family were very welcoming. The house is enormous, I believe they have 15 bedrooms with en suite with basic facilities. All areas were clean and tidy. The cooking demonstration was great and food was tasty. We had a tour of the plantation which was interesting. Would recommend to others.
