E.05 City Inn

For a so called Star luxury hotel, the quality has declined since last year. Not worth the premium pricing they charge. Woke up sweating night 11:50pm in summer as there was an electrical issue for 2+ hrs. When I heard loud conversations and walking in the hallway maintenance were trying fix it. I found some of the others had power. Staff were walking in and out of my room suspecting issue in my room but couldn't find anything. When I asked to be shifted to another room I was declined saying rooms not available. Later I overheard the staff suggesting give another vacant room but a manager denied. Eventually the power resumed after a couple of hours to only go off again twice at around 3 and 4 o'clock. Even though breakfast was included on some days there wasn't a buffet breakfast even though the hotel was apparently fully booked. The staff weren't really apologetic next morning. When I asked for a compensation I was denied. I asked to talk to senior management but no one responded. Since the rooms were prepaid on make my trip, there wasn't resolution during checkout also. We were a part of a large swim community for an event in town and many others were also inconvenienced. We are all recommending not to consider this hotel to anybody else on our community forums and also to the organisers who recommended this hotel. A week later after returning home somebody from the hotel staff called to offer a discount on my next visit. I doubt I'll come back ever for this kind of service. Haven't heard anything since. :(

Not a great place for fine dine. But yes as a small town hotel can't expect more.

It's very nice and stuff will be good they treat Customer very well.

I had been to the bar n ordered for French fries . It was deep fried and not in a condition to consume it. I have informed the bearer and he informed the manager but he refused that it fully fried. He said it's crispy n not fried. Moreover he argued with us and denied to change it. Very bad service and bar manager was not well mannered. He is not fit to work as a manager in this so called 4 star hotel. I never recommend anyone to this hotel

Went for a family dinner in the evening of 29 Oct, 2023. The food was average, worse still was attitude of the F& B Manager, when he was sounded about the standard of the cuisine. However the service was excellent..

Great place to stay! Spacious Room with the balcony was good.|Very friendly & helpful staff couldn't do enough for us.|Great location with easy access to the Metro station.|Food at Kali Meeri Restaurant with North Indian cuisine is very good.

Think twice if you are booking this hotel. The hotel infrastructure is one of the best in Ernakulam district, but no customer service, no maintenance and unprofessional approach. It seems like the hotel management is least bothered about such a huge investment and customer service. The hotel doesn't have proper billing system, totally messed up system. Be cautious.

Rooms are good, especially one side of alley are rooms that opens to a big open balcony that provides fresh air and huge space for morning workouts
