The Canaan

My 2 night stay was amazing and I remember that every seconds lifetime. We enjoyed a lot. Very comfortable rooms and amenities. Host of the property, a very kind and gentlemen.

We were a group of 20+ people stayed in in Canaan Resort for three days as a part of a wedding ceremony. The food was amazing and the services we received from Mr. Isaac and his team was excellent. We recommend this place to other guests.

Ir is a nice place for one day outing. Being a homestay it has 3 to 5 bedrooms, dining hall and drawing room. It also has a kitchen. If you want food, you can give the order and by the time you arrive everything would be ready. Besides , there is a beach nearby so you can spend time there as well.

This place is suitable for arranging events and functions like birthday party, haldi kumkum etc. We stayed here for 10 days. Good service and food provided by them is too tasty. Near to beach, sunset is awesome.

Around 13 members were visited Alappuzha on 15 June 2024 and stayed in Canaan Marari Homestay at Chethy, Alappuzha. Ms Paulin madam (Owner of the Property) was very co-operative since booking. Sha has given entire Villa for our group. We took all 7 rooms with AC. Two days stay was wonderful. Everybody in our group loved the entire Villa, it was very old construction, but maintained very well. Lot more space available for parking as well as playing. A small swimming pool for kids available in the courtyard. Ms Paulin madam also allowed us to use the kitchen, we made dinner for ourself. Best suitable for family with kids as well as group stay. Neat and Clean Chethy beach is 5 minutes walkable distance from the Villa. Thank you very much Ms Paulin madam and her spouse for making our visit joyful.

Our extended family (6 adults and 5 children) stayed here in 4 rooms. We had to book this place in the last minute because our previous booking simply canceled a week before our trip. So, we went here with some trepidation but we needn't have worried. The hosts made our stay extremely comfortable. They helped us order food, made plenty of effort to make us comfortable while giving us privacy when required. We tried the breakfast in the morning and it was simply delicious. The rooms were spacious with the hallway connecting all the rooms plenty for us to spend time together. The bathrooms were very clean and spacious. The 'pool' in the middle of the house offered plenty of entertainment for the kids. The beach nearby is only a 5 minute walk and plenty private but we went to the Marari beach anyway which is about a 10 minute drive from here. I would highly recommend the place to anyone requiring a quite stay away from the big hotels and resorts and have a great experience.

A Homestay managed by a friendly couple who can speak Hindi, English and Malayalam. Located 1 kms away from Chethi beach and 2 kms from Mararikulam beach. The place is kept clean, overall a beautiful place to spend weekend

One of the best home stays in Alappuzha. Great food, great hospitality, great environment.
