Navendu Homestay

The house is nice and the room was big enough but the cleanliness was an issue. Very dirty old towels and it was full of mosquitoes. The owner was fine with us. The location is good and quiet but couldn't rest properly because of lack of fresh air, soggy and too many mosquitoes.

Non- AC room booked here is not comfortable. Ceiling fan is rotating very slow. When complained to owner, he asked to go for AC room with extra cost. Owner is very miser and doesn't listen to us. AC also switched at 07:00 AM. Owner is not upto to his words. We booked for extra time and he asked us to leave before that as he got other booking (). Owner said he will provide tea in the morning and no food. When we asked for tea in the morning, he said he will send to room and left the house. After waiting for 25 minutes when we went to his home and asked for tea, no one knew that we wanted it. Mainly, If you want a peaceful experience at Aleppey don't stay here.

A decent homestay located very close to Alleppey Bus Stand. We stayed here for a couple of hours before checking into our houseboat. The rooms are neat and clean; although there's no hot water by default, it can be arranged upon request. The owner resides on the ground floor, and they offer rooms on both the first and second floors.

The owner of the house is retired army personnel and he is very humble and helpful. He called us and check our check in time and kept everything ready and guided us to a good restaurant. It is located at walking distance from boating area and the owner helped us to book shikara in discounted rate. The rooms are as per the charges and clean for a decent stay.

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at. The layout of the entire homestay is extremely comfortable and spacious making it a great relaxing atmosphere. The location of this homestay is perfect. Close to the backwater and many tourist attractions. The owner was very friendly and helpful and informative and my every need was attended to. Honestly saying, he is the modest and humble person I have met till now. This is not a hotel, it is actually a house. The owner himself stays at this house on the ground floor and gives other guests to stay on the upper floors. I felt very much at ease and enjoyed my stay immensely. Food is not available in this homestay but many restaurants are nearby. The overall experience was one that I would certainly recommend to anyone seeking out a relaxed and comfortable stay in a beautiful surrounding.

Terrible experience. Miser owner. Does not provide any hospitality. Only wants to make money and not bothered about hospitality. No fan, no drinking water, no towels, no toiletries, no bedsheets, no Geyser. Nothing in reality. He will try to push for taking A/C on additional charges but will switch it off at 10am. He will provide drinking water only on additional payable charges. He will try to market shikara rides for getting commission. Overall a worst experience, we checked out a day earlier than booked, just unable to stay any more. Room number 3 is haunted, don't stay there !!!

Owner receive and treat everyone very kindly. It's a good option to stay in Alappuzha because it locates near boating area so we can access boating and other things easily from here and safe for solo travellers because we can keep our belongings very safely here so no need to worry about booking stay in Alappuzha go for it
