A Hidden Gem in Alleppey - Evaans Casa Our stay at Evaans Casa in the Alleppey backwaters was nothing short of incredible! Even though it wasn't on a traditional houseboat, the setting and experience gave us the same, if not an even better, feeling of being right in the heart of Kerala's serene backwaters. The property was peaceful, beautifully maintained, and offered stunning views that made us feel completely at ease. They also offer affordable shikara rides, speed boat trips, and other local activities, which added a fun and adventurous touch to our relaxing getaway. But what truly made our stay special was the hospitality. The host at Evaans Casa was genuinely the nicest I've ever come across--so warm and welcoming, and even gifted us delicious mangoes straight from his garden, which was such a thoughtful touch. The food was another highlight--authentic, flavorful Kerala cuisine made with so much love. Every meal felt like a celebration of local flavors. If you're looking for a peaceful, heartfelt, and unique backwater experience that goes beyond the usual houseboat stay, I highly recommend Evaans Casa. It's a place that stays with you long after you leave.

Homestay location is amazing. You have to take a boat from the land, which is provided by the Home stay. That's an adventure in itself. The property is right at the backwaters edge. The food is good and homely. The caretaker is very helpful and have arranged shikara boating ride through the canals. This establishment is high value for the money and enjoyed the trip...

we came with low expectations but were surprised by hospitality and the natural beauty and the luxury views and facilities. the boat ride to the hotel was amazing so was the sunset boat ride. the food was fine the hotel rooms and bathrooms were very clean and luxurious.

Over all, really the best experience in Allepey. Jack was very friendly and budget friendly property with quite and calm place. Also, amenities were taken care by two care takers. Sorry forgot their names. Firstly we came in a rental car and our car was stopped in one place to reach this place and this was the best and unique experience which we had in our lifetime to reach Evaans. We were taken in a boat to this place as this place is not having a road facility. This place is attached to backwaters and Jack had done all the arrangements very well. He was little busy with his relatives marriage but ensured that nothing was missed. We went to Shikara (Boat ride) for 3 hours in back waters and we never understood how those 3 hours passed. Very peaceful and beautiful locations. Specially want to thank aunty who served us good food. Care taker aunty and uncle also kept the premises neat and clean and also service was also amazing. Highly recommended place. Interesting part which I want to highlight is when a family books the homestay, Jack has booked only for that family the entire homestay which keeps our privacy though there were 4 more rooms. Finally a wonderful trip in Allepey with good food. Thank you Jack for arranging the kerala authentic meals (Customized) and also the wonderful hospitality. Property also has rabbits, dogs (Which were caged) where my kids spent most of their time. Lovely place in Allepey

The property location is amazing. You have to take a boat from the mainland, which is provided by the property. That's an adventure in itself. The property is right at the backwaters edge. The food is excellent. Its freshly prepared home cooked meal. Mallappa, the caretaker is very helpful as were all the staff who brought our food, took our luggage and took us for a canoe ride through the canals. This establishment is high value for the price, so make sure to tip the staff well!

Rooms are like very much small and not worth for that money they charging. They will mostly give that paddy view point. There is no lake view rooms. only dinning area alone we can see the lake. For a single person.[ One Day Price ] Room Rent - 2,300 Rs and above. shekara boat ride -- 2,100 Rs [ only 3 hours ] Separate charge for Dinner too. Hence my kind request you all we can take a house boat for this price and enjoy the holiday instead of. choosing this.

Good location. Ferry service is required to reach to this property as it is situated in an island. Property is having their own private boat service. Ambience is awesome, rooms size are a bit small & cozy. Food is awesome. Host is good. Overall a very good property to stay in Alleppey & enjoy vacation.

It is like a homestay. The food is freshly homemade meal and the rooms are nice Please note that they are nice not necessarily esthetic. For this price you get food, safety and peace. They also arrange the shikara ride for you but you have to be very vigilant with the price of you are not native of the place as we were told that for 3 hours 3 people will be charged 2000/- and the price will remain same for 2 hours too but on completion we had to pay 3000/- for 3 hours. Communication can be a barrier for other activities Overall the stay was good.
