Marari Anna Beach Homestay

Lovely homestay right in front of the wonderful Marari Beach. The host Mr Jose was really welcoming and helpful. For example h3 arranged a great 2 hour boat ride with Allepey Shakira Boats along with Tuk-tuk transport to the starting poiint. The South Indian Breakfasts on our terrace balcony overlooking the ocean were a real highlight.

The best thing about Marari Anna Homestay is the location. A good view over the beach and from your veranda you can see the fisherman coming back with their fish. |I had in this place the best bed during my 2 month trip in India. The bathroom could have been a bit more cared for. When I arrived everything was soaking wet, including toilet seat and towel rack. Taps could have kept in nicer shape. |The owner is very friendly. You must be a little lucky with your neighbors as the 2 verandas are next to each other. I was next to a family with 2 loud screaming children....|Otherwise all fine and good service

We were so happy to find this beach front homestay. Simple, clean and homely. The room is spacious, has a comfy bed and working AC and hot water. We thoroughly enjoyed the local style breakfast every morning. Jose, the host, was warm, courteous and helpful. Highly recommended.

Nice location directly at the beach, friendly owner, nice garden and terasse. however the price was too high compared to the quality of the room, at least for the one I had: the room I booked had a balcony on the photos, was big and was called "family room", the one I got was a smaller simple double-bed room (had a small terrasse with table and chair in front), but I think the price stayed the same. One pillow was a bit moldy, the wardrobe was a bit moldy too and didnt seem very clean, the towels were very old had some stains and had a strange smell, the walls of the room were a bit dirty, no chair in the room. I wouldn't mind about all this if it would be regular Indian prices, but for 40EU/night I expected more.

I had the pleasure of experiencing exceptional hospitality at this charming homestay in Kerala. It's a family-owned property that offers honest travel tips, the best homemade breakfast I've had in India so far, and great flexibility with check-in and check-out. Our room was exceptionally clean and spacious, beautifully arranged with a large window facing the sea, and even included a lovely balcony. The owner is incredibly down-to-earth and dedicated to maintaining the homestay as a peaceful retreat for quiet vacation seekers. Although my stay was short, I left feeling recharged and ready for more adventures in India. Truly a hidden gem in Kerala!

We spent an amazing week at Jose's homestay. Rooms are spaceous and super clean, the sea is at your doorstep. The host and his family was very helpful and tried to accomodate all our request. It's a hidden gem at Mararikulam beach.

Really nice room with great view. So quiet and peaceful place. The host is wonderful and gave us a lot of good suggestions for our vacation, and also made a delicious breakfast.
