A Peaceful Stay Amidst Nature at BR Hills Guest House Located within the Tiger Reserve forest at BR Hills, the journey from the check post to the guest house is truly refreshing, with scenic views that make the drive memorable. However, the connecting roads leading to the check post are bumpy, and the lack of adequate signage can add to the confusion, so it's best to plan your route carefully. Also, note that entry to the reserve is restricted between 6 PM and 6 AM, so arriving on time is essential. The reception staff were very helpful, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free check-in and check-out process. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and adequate for a small family. Wi-Fi was available, though occasional network issues are expected in such a remote location. The guest house is conveniently situated near the temple and a viewpoint, adding to its charm. An in-house restaurant is available, offering a limited menu, but the food was tasty and satisfying. Overall, it was a peaceful and enjoyable stay, perfect for those seeking a quiet retreat amidst nature.

Very friendly staff here. Loved the overnight stay here with scenic views from the balcony and great hospitality. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the restaurant. Not the greatest food but no complaints either. Car parking is enough inside the premises. Round the clock hot water in washrooms. They have only the ground floor here with a total of 16 rooms, 8 AC and 8 Non AC. In house wifi available.
We stayed at Hotel Mayura during our visit to BR Hills. We booked the place via Bookings.com and I was a bit sceptical as the person room charge was Rs 1600 for 2 people. Once I reached there, I was glad I picked the place as it is what we call as 'Sundar Sasta Tikav'. We reached at 10.15 am and the rooms were getting ready. We checked in by 11 am. We got the hill view which was great. The rooms are clean, bathrooms are well maintained, and the linens are fresh too. The food is a bit messy as the kitchen looks a bit rushed. Only veg food, which is not a big problem, but vessels need to be changed. Looks over used. Especially the tea cups. The staff is very helpful. They address your requests well. Talk to the manager for any extra assistance. The sunset view point is a must visit and is walking distance from the hotel. The temple is also a great place to visit. On the way back stop at the village for tea and bajji. Great stay for the price, I must mention.
Value for money Stunning place, pristine nature Temple and sunset point is just round the corner Clean rooms, nice service, low prices, just an awesome place. Food menu is limited but that's understandable since this place is remote - food quality is good though Safari at BRT reserve forest is just a 25 mins drive from here
Typical KSTDC hotel. Property is about 6 years old with average maintenance. AC Rooms, bathrooms were clean. AC worked on and off but since it was pleasant weather did not require much. Amenity and dental kits provided. Forest view from balcony. Breakfast and snacks were quite good. Lunch and dinner ordinary. Service was quite ok, staff reasonably attentive. Best option in BR Hills for the amount charged.
Location: great- easy overnight trip from Bangalore. Service and hospitality: Amazing. They go out of the way to ensure a good stay for you and your family. The hotel hosts a tribal dance session around 6.30pm (I would assume on weekends only but pls do confirm with the hotel) Basic rooms, good location, on top of the BR hills, nearby sunset point and the temple. We have to cross the BRT reserve - ensure you reach the check post before 6pm- the forest entry is closed after that.
It's my 3rd visit, and the hotel never disappointed us in the service, cleanliness, and the response from the staff. Even though the food is limited, it is sufficient for us in this remote area.
Hotel/ restaurant with washroom facilities available. You will get meals if you are going in the afternoon. The only issue is since there are no good restaurants nearby it can be quite crowded on weekends and public holidays. Also the dining area has "limited" numbers of tables and chairs so it may lead to delay during peak hours. So plan your visit accordingly. Though the location of the hotel where it's situated is quite nice. Maybe in future if some more hotels comes up there might be some competition. Additionally the hotel provides free car parking but again to very limited users as the parking space is quite narrow, so do expect some congestion while parking in and exiting out.
