Sterling Banashree Badami

The best resort one could wish for at Badami. Both Cottage & Premier rooms are very cozy, well appointed and well maintained facilities, peaceful and soothing stay in the nature with birds chirping all through daylight. Food is excellent in taste with a wide spread of options for Breakfast as well as Lunch & Dinner. Staff is very polite and at your service. Resort is also quite close to the famous Badami caves, Sri Shakhambari Banashankari devi and Bhootnath Temple, Agasthya Lake. Overall this resort provides for an excellent experience. Stayed here for 4 days and 3 nights and had a great experience overall. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained. For those wondering about the washrooms they come with a large bathtub, perfect for a relaxing soak. While there aren't any eateries nearby, the hotel's in-house restaurant serves good food and is quite reliable. The location is easy to find and just a 10-minute drive from the Badami Caves, making it a convenient stay for tourists. There's ample parking space for cars, and the service and hospitality provided by the staff were genuinely commendable. Would definitely recommend this place if you're planning a trip to Badami!

Stayed at this resort during my visit to the Badami caves. The resort occupies a huge area, which is well maintained, clean and safe. The rooms are big and so is the washroom. Well maintained and equipped rooms. The staff is helpful and courteous. Loved the swimming pool and play areas. Slightly away from the Badami caves.

Stayed there for 2 nights during March 2025. Rooms are big, Bathrooms are super big and clean. Food options are limited. You reach at 3:30 PM and most of the food would be over. Food taste is really good. We enjoyed whatever was available. Resort is not managed to the level of a four star property. Location is way too remote, inside some farms. They have less business also. Seems Badami is not that much visited by tourists. Overall the best place to stay in Badami but not value for money. In fact, no one should stay in Badami. My personal opinion - Stay elsewhere, say Hubli and visit this small town for 2-3 hours. Only that much is required. There is nothing much to see. Cave temples and the nearby areas can be finished in max 2-3 hours.

This property should rise up to the standards of the other Sterling resorts. Though in the reservation confirmation it was mentioned that the check in time is 12PM and check out at 12PM, on reaching the property the reception informed that check in is from 2PM. After showing the confirmation email with the time specified, they immediately arranged the room. Room was well maintained. For a family consisting of a kid and 2 adults, the split bed was inconvenient. Even though it was put together, the bed tries to move away creating a space in the centre. For family bookings they should give a queen or a king size single bed instead of keeping two beds on the cot. During the check in we asked whether the swimming pool was operational and they informed us it is operational. In the evening when we reached near the pool area we were surprised to know that it is under maintenance and we cannot use it till our checkout time. This was disappointing. The maintenance should have been carried out after the pool usage time especially during weekends. Food was good. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast from the resort and we do not have any complaints about the food.

Very good property for a family vacation with activities like swimming, archery, basketball, etc. Food is very nice. The staff is very polite and responsive. Rooms are clean and spacious. Location is 7km from the main area, hence you need to have a vehicle to reach the property.

We stayed in Sterling Badami resort for 3 nights( 28th - 30th December 2024). It is approximately 5 kms from Badami Bus stand. We were a group of eight - 6 adults and 2 children. We occupied Rooms 103-105. Stay was very comfortable. |Rooms were clean, spacious and well maintained. Air conditioners in our rooms were working quite well. Each room is provided with individual Geiser. Also each room had a Electric kettle and you can make tea or coffee whenever needed. Room service staff were very good , courteous and cooperative. They took care of our requirements very well.|As for amenities, there is a swimming pool , Table tennis, Shuttle badminton court and carrom available for use to guests without any hiring charges. Also there was Electric toy bike and electric car for children on chargeable basis. You can also hire bicycles. Sterling was also facilitating supervised rock climbing for which you need to go outside the resort some 4 kms away. Our children spent good time in the pool / shuttle badminton/ Table tennis.|Restaurant food was very tasty although we could see some shortage of staff. The staff were very decent and willing to accommodate the requirements of the guests. We had tried buffet breakfast and dinner. We also tried a la carte for lunch. They also provide room service if needed. |Sterling reception staff also ( Mr.Shekar and others) were helpful in arranging cab services from external travel operators for local sightseeing visits. |We also take this opportunity to thank Mr.Tenzyn a thorough gentleman and Sterling manager who is on deputation from Kodaikanal Sterling resort to set up this Badami resort. He was very helpful and kind. When one of our member fell sick at the resort, he coordinated and rushed medical help from Badami. He shared his mobile number with us and requested to call him for any emergency without any hesitation. He gave the confidence that we can depend on him for any requirement. We enjoyed the Badami stay very much and it was a memorable experience.

Property is little away from Badami Town. Temples are about 5-6 kms. |Smooth check in and front office people are friendly and always ready to help. Housekeeping team was very good.|Rooms are spacious and clean , big washroom with a tub , an outdoor place to sit. All the amenities are there. |Lot of space for parking and the area is safe. |Restaurant is big,buffet breakfast was good but otherwise service is poor. you wait forever for the food to arrive. |Overall a good stay
