I recently had the pleasure of staying at Inika Resort in Virajpet, Coorg, and it was truly a dreamy experience! Nestled amidst lush green coffee plantations, the resort's location feels like a secluded paradise. The hospitality was exceptional, with the staff being extremely helpful and always sporting warm smiles. We were welcomed with a refreshing drink at check-in, and our room was ready and cool. Our villa, Gulmohar, was well-equipped and had an excellent, soothing ambiance. The resort's limited villas ensured a peaceful stay, far from crowds. The food was top-notch, with a delicious breakfast spread featuring a wide variety of South Indian options and some North Indian delights. Lunch and dinner options included North Indian and Chinese cuisine, although adding continental options would be a great addition. One of the highlights was the tour of their in-house coffee plantations, which was a unique experience (albeit a bumpy ride!). The pool was well-maintained and temperature-controlled, perfect for relaxation. If you're looking for a calm and serene staycation, Inika Resort is an excellent choice. I highly recommend it for those seeking a peaceful retreat amidst nature's beauty.

We have conducted our team outing in this resort. We were a large group and all our requests were taken care of. Mr Varun was too good he gave us good service. Our team were more than happy. The lunch was delicious. All the staff members were courteous and know their job very well. They took care of us very well. Enjoyed swimming in the pool too.... Overall they have given a memorable experience.
INIKA Resort is an absolute paradise! The food was outstanding, thanks to Chef Sunil and is amazing team, who crafted every meal to perfection. The atmosphere was serene and luxurious, blending beautifully with nature. From lush greenery to breathtaking views, the surroundings were simply stunning. The staff was warm and attentive, making our stay truly special. Every detail was perfect--I can't wait to return!
I had a very disappointing experience at Inika Resort. The property is good but the reality was far from expectations. The service was unprofessional and slow -- basic requests took hours to be addressed, and the staff seemed indifferent to guest needs. The room was not properly cleaned when we arrived, and amenities were either missing or in poor condition. Food quality was below average and not worth the price charged. Overall, the stay did not offer the comfort or hospitality one would expect from a place that claims to be a premium resort. Would not recommend, especially for anyone expecting a smooth and good food , relaxing experience.
We came by Inika at the last moment since the timing was during heavy rains. We booked the resort by calling the number directly, as we were not sure of the situation after continuous rains. Veema, handled our booking and it was easier than booking from online platforms.|The location is a bit interior, we drove from Mysore. Road after Gonikoppa is a bit narrow, but safe to drive.|As soon as you enter the huge gates, you feel the difference. It's calm, smiling staff, Lush green plantation, water streaming across the resort. The resort is well integrated with the habitat around. You feel like you're in the heart of nature but luxuriously. The atmosphere lures into instant relaxation and has a calming vibe. Since it was raining continously and we had to work, the staff were quick to install a small inverter to keep the power supply to modem stable, which helped in uninterrupted wifi.|Food is absolutely wonderful here. We loved each and every dish we had. Winston, one of the partners was at the resort when we checked in. He was very friendly and also offered us a complimentary dish and was very welcoming in general.|Gagan and Dileep are wonderful staff at the restaurant who took care of our requests meticulously. Keerthi at the reception is also available always, with a smile.||There's not much activites to do, in the free time.|Table tennis doesn't have much room on either sides, to have a competitive game.|Food prices are without taxes. They are a bit pricey, but the portion is more or less sufficient for 2 normal people.
Had been to the restaurant in this resort for lunch with friends on 18.04.2025. Had a leisurely fun time. Food was good. Courteous staff. Quick, no fuss service. Fabulous greenery around. Great place for a quiet getaway with family and friends.
Inika Resort was absolutely perfect for a relaxed vacation. Nestled in the midst of a beautiful coffee plantation, the peaceful atmosphere really helped us unwind. The food was exceptional--I truly loved every meal! The cottages were especially unique and comfortable, providing the perfect retreat. Everything about the resort was fantastic, and it made for a truly memorable and rejuvenating experience.
We stayed for two nights at INIKA, in April 2025. Here's our unfiltered review of the stay: Pros: * The food was excellent (very delicious) 80% of the time. There were a couple of dishes that weren't bad, but could've been better - for instance, the noodles and biryani were dripping in oil. *The free buffet breakfast spread was decent, catering only to the Indian taste palette. *The restaurant has a beautiful dining area, with lots of seating space. They also have a campfire area attached, which groups can use on demand, I guess. * The cottages and surroundings look aesthetically pleasing. The rooms are pretty clean as well, except that we received stained bed sheets on the first night. * The cottages are placed at a decent distance from each other, so you have some privacy and don't have to worry about noisy neighbours. * The pool is small but clean. They have lounge chairs, and they give you beach towels if you ask. * They've a small turf outdoor area right at the entrance, where you can play football, badminton, or cricket. You need to ask the security guard for equipment. *They have parking space for around 10 - 12 cars. * They are quick to try and address concerns or requests. Cons: * The last 5 kms leading up to the resort are in dismal condition. Of course, INIKA may not have control over this, but they could at least give you a warning before arrival. * The cabins lack some basic amenities like a mini-fridge, safe, ironing board, or hairdryer - even though the Booking.com listing mentions these . * The ceilings of the cottages are made of asbestos, covered with wallpaper - confirmed by the staff. This makes the rooms hotter during the day. They hadn't kept the AC running before our check-in, so the cabin was extremely hot for the first few hours. To make things worse, there were frequent power outages (due to some external maintenance work) during our stay, which led the ACs to go on and off. To be fair, the outages were not under the property's control. * The resort is set in a forest-like area, so insects are expected. But they don't have any deterrents to keep these bugs away. They do have some warning literature placed in the rooms, which frankly can feel a bit scary. * They only offer two complimentary water bottles in the room/day. If you need more, each additional bottle costs 99 (for a regular 20 Bisleri bottle)! Worse, there's no provision for free drinking water anywhere on the property, including the restaurant. We didn't see any grocery stores nearby either. Not providing basic drinking water during peak summer is almost cruel, especially when you're staying with kids. * Since there are no other restaurants nearby, you're entirely dependent on their in-house restaurant for all your meals. * They charge a 5% service charge on restaurant bills, and this isn't informed in advance. * Though the staff are polite, they seem inexperienced in hospitality. They do their job, but they don't make you feel particularly welcome - no conversation-making, no smiles or greetings, no small gestures toward children (like cracking a joke, or offering candy), etc. They appear mechanical, rather than warm. * The Wi-Fi is decent but keeps disconnecting often. Also, there's no mobile network coverage anywhere nearby. * The 'game room' is very basic - a TT table, a worn-out carrom board, a pool table, a foosball table, and four gym equipment (not plugged into power) that seem poorly maintained or bought as second-hand. If you've lived all your life in cities and enjoy staying in a more natural, outdoor setting, this place might appeal to you. On the other hand, If you're looking for a hill-station experience with tons of activities, exceptional service, and attention to detail - without having to shell out over 25k for two nights, then this may not be the right fit. For me personally, they didn't go above and beyond to make us feel welcome or make us want to return. It almost feels like they believe the property alone is enough to get more customers - and not the overall experience.
