Amara Homestay is a hidden gem. It's a place for all age groups - children, couples and the elderly. The hosts make you feel so welcomed with satvic delicious food, homely care and simple, beautiful experiences like Nature Walk, bonfire, and offbeat stay options like tents and cottages! It's located in the middle of Kali Tiger Reserve with the purest air to inhale, breathtaking jungle views, clear skies for stargazing, rare birds/wildlife to explore. We spent 3 nights here with friends and family and enjoyed every minute in this property. We didn't do much sight seeing yet felt like this was the best holiday we had. The host and his family are the most humble people you could find. We are recommending this place to everyone we know for a relaxing, unwinding experience.

This one of the best homestays in Dandeli area. The host is very kind and will make you feel at home. The location is very serene and away from all the hustle and bustle. The accodamtion is very clean. The staff is courteous and helpful. Their organic food and the local delicacies are cherry on the cake. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet stay as well as enjoy some adventure.

Ajit and his family are wonderful hosts. Since I was accompanied with my elderly parents and had specify food requests they were duly honoured with all respect and affection. ||Authentic local home made cuisine was wonderful with lot of varieties and served with love. Each traditional dish was explained how it's prepared. ||The rooms and the place are very well maintained and give a blissful feeling.||Ajit also took us for a nature walk explaining the flora and fauna in the region.||It was quite a pleasant stay and value for money.||I strongly recommend to visit and enjoy the stay and the hospitality here.

Very happy about the time we spent at Amara homestay with Mr.Ajith Hegde and family. What a hospitality! Great food. MrAjit guided us some serene location inside forest which was hardly crowded and we had good fun in the water falls. Infact i have visited this place twice in a gap of 10 years|One thing that has not changed is the way they serve the guests as if we are their family. Thisn place would continue to be a favorite destination in my next visit to daaNddeeli again.

Amara homestay evokes a warm feeling of nostalgia, though its been three months after we had been there. Our family visited Amara as an impromptu decision, for a couple of days during the end of 2024, on our way back from Goa. As it was peak holiday season, only the tent accommodation was available. Ajit Hegde the host, assured us that the tents will be warm and cozy. And the two days turned out to be the most relaxing and memorable days of our trip. Amara is located in the Kali Tiger reserve , amidst pristine forest. We were welcomed warmly by Ajit and team, with delicious Brahmi juice. The tents were comfortable with adequate facilities like beds, fan, light. The whole property is lovely and well maintained. We were served fresh, delicious local cuisine throughout the day, as breakfast, lunch, snacks, herbal drinks and dinner. Every meal was absolutely fresh, tasty, served on banana leaf with lots of varieties and prepared with lots of love and care. The whole team will serve us patiently and ensure we are fed well. The Shrikand, curd were the best I have ever tasted, as the milk is from the local cows which are grass fed. I observed everything is prepared from the scratch with mainly local ingredients which elevates the taste of the food. Ajit is doing a fantastic job of inspiring his team to render the best hospitality in a sustainable manner. They are all mindful of the need to protect the environment and follow eco friendly methods. No plastic bottles, use and throw cups or other unsustainable practices. Ajit guided us about the activities like rafting, trek to waterfalls and sightseeing options, and arranged for a jeep for us to travel. We were accompanied by Uday, who knew the forest like the back of his hand, and was an excellent guide too. It was inspiring to listen to Uday speak of the need to keep the place clean and his lament about how some visitors throw plastic trash everywhere and pollute the place. My teenaged son (who I thought would be bored), left with a parting remark to Ajit that he had a very good time and enjoyed the stay. Kudos to the whole Amara team and wish them many years of sustainable hosting. Amara stands as an example as to how sustainable and experiential tourism can only be achieved when managed by those who have lived there for generations and call it their home.

This was our second trip after a gap of a few years. The vegetarian food remains the highlight - fabulous! |Had the tented accommodation this time around, quite comfortable. |Ajit Hegde is a very helpful and attentive host. Ajith and his whole family was so sweet, service was exceptional. We went with family and had a wholesome time. Food is extremely well thought through and they treat you like family. Butterfly pea flower rice, tamirnd rice, kokum curry, all of the food was brilliant!! It was a relaxing trip and would highly recommend coming here atleast once a year!

We have been visiting Amara Homestay from past 3 years. This time we visited during new year eve. It was a peaceful stay amidst nature with delicious food, morning nature walks with bird sightings, friendly host Ajit and his family . Overall we had awesome stay as always.
