Sri Ramakrishna Hotel

Located very close at walkable distance to temple. Heard that it was quite old building but did not feel so inside the room. This hotel has been partly renovated. Renovation on other parts of the hotel is underway. The rooms allotted to us was the renovated one. They are very basic with couple of sofa chairs, a centre table and basic cupboard all in good condition. Decent car parking space of the hotel is a plus point especially in this area. No TV. Would have hardly used it even if there was one. Telephone was there but we did not use. They provide drinking water, soap and towels. Bedsheets were clean. 24 hours hot water is available. Apart from above, there was no need of any room service for us as we stayed there for just one day. We had booked for 2 PM check in. Staff was kind enough to allow us early check in with 24 hours check out time as we reached around 5.30 AM and the room was available. The only drawback was that A/C rooms were not available as we had booked in last minute. Being summer, it was too hot for us. Kindly avoid booking non AC rooms in Udupi during summer. The rate for non a/c room was much higher probably because of long weekend. Otherwise, could have easily got a A/c room for the amount I paid for non ac here. Except for this, it was a comfortable stay.

Taken A/ C room no 206 and missed the room key even though the 3 duplicate Keys available they charged me 2500 extra for the room key saying they want to replace entire key system for the room which they are not going to do and even very rash behaviour by receptionist and the manager no respect for customer, and even they didn't gave the bill for the Key they charged me 2500. Given bill only for the room, very bad service hope this message will reach management for this extra charges and misbehaviour towards customers very worst service we have faced mainly with receptionist.

Despite being in such a location, room lacks basic amenities. There is not mosquito nets, either you sleep with windows closed or you sleep with mosquito. Not even a mosquito repellent is provided. Hard bed, zero ventilation makes this place like hot oven.

The receptionist behaviour is very bad .. from Udupi bus stop we called and he confirmed that the AC room is available.. once we reach the location within 5 mins .. he says it is allocated very fast and has been sold in a sarcastic behaviour

Never ever visit this hotel it's just for name sake. When we reached we were all ladies & reached so late nigt all hotels were full so we reached here option wasn't there never I ll prefer next time. Receptionist was so rude he talked wud disrespect & took extra charge for bed even after knowing there wasn't. Room was so much smelly nt even they clean rooms even after asking staff person, totally waste of money. With same price will get alot best in the city. Service is so so bad never visit here I will not recommend this hotel to anyone, before going in check reviews & visit in.

Decent Budget Hotel. Rooms were clean. Attached Vedantha Veg restaurant was good. Close to Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt

Very bad experience..no basic facilities,it's not worth for the money..no cleaning..the rooms..small size bed 4x5 for double cart...and useless bathroom fittings....not worth for the money they are taking....

I stayed in this hotel for two days room is good but the service is horrible no one will come for cleaning and they will not change the used towels just keep the wet used towels on the bed. Reception staff is useless don't understand anything inspite of complaint he will stand standstill without attending to your issues. Never book this hotel it's a total waste of money.
