Hotel Janardana

Right next to the old KSRTC bus stand, It is a convenient hotel option in Udupi which is not very far from the Udupi Sri Krishna Temple also. Pai Tiffins is a convenient breakfast option right next to the hotel and Woodlands restaurant is also quite near. It is easy to get autos there to any place in Udupi. Rooms are clean and comfortable. We had gone for the triple bed option which was sufficient for three of us.

A simple no frills hotel, but clean and comfortable. Especially good if you are looking for a place to stay in the centre of Udupi. Staff are kind and accommodating. At the time of this review (2025 February), they were offering 24 hour check-out. The only minus (for me) is that there's no restaurant. There are options outside though.

We had booked a double bed a/c room. The room was very well maintained and the service assistance was good. The help desk and the staff were really kind and supportive. Wifi facilities, television, hot water, bath soaps and towels are all provided. The mattress had an amazing cushion and the sheets were super clean. Overall I would definitely recommend this !

Perfect place to be with family. Everything is nearby, this great location, room service can improve. But all staff members are very cordial. Rooms are very clean and tidy with comfortable beds.

Hotel is good and staff are courteous. Rooms were clean. Difficulty in vehicle parking. When we visited they did not had their own parking. We had to keep our vehicle on the road opp to the hotel.

Why 1? Will never visit again. I stayed here for a night with my family -- my wife, 2-year-old kid, parents, brother, and my wife's parents. The room itself was spacious, tidy, and had most of the basic necessities. However, the Wi-Fi was an absolute joke -- practically no data available. We opted for an early check-in, which was smooth and hassle-free, so no complaints there. The real nightmare started when we requested an extension until 6 PM, as our train was scheduled for 8 PM. I paid 1000 for the extension, and we decided to keep one room while the rest of the family -- except me, my kid, and one mom -- went to visit St. Mary's Island. What followed was sheer chaos and exposed how pathetic and inhumane the hotel's hospitality truly is. Close to the extended checkout time, I started receiving multiple calls from reception, pressuring us to vacate the room immediately. From there, things escalated into a horrendous experience. The hotel staff literally ran with our bags, stuffing everything into the elevator in a rushed, panicked manner I've never witnessed in any hotel before. The intent was clear -- they just wanted us out, with zero regard for basic courtesy. At this point, my child was asleep, and I simply wanted to feed him. Meanwhile, my family had just returned and wanted a quick refresh. I was even willing to pay for some extra time if they had shown the slightest bit of humanity. Instead, they forced my parents, wife, and brother to use a tiny, filthy bathroom meant for workers -- no bucket, no proper facilities -- just to take a bath and change clothes. My wife's mom ended up feeding my kid right there in the lobby, in full view of the reception staff, while the porter unceremoniously dumped all our luggage right in the middle of the reception area. The entire ordeal was beyond humiliating -- all of this despite the hotel being mostly empty at the time. I even tipped the staff and smiled through the frustration, but the experience was absolutely disgraceful. To the management -- show some basic humanity and decency to your guests when they need it the most. That's the bare minimum expected from the hospitality industry.

Rooms are neat and good. They provided towel and other bath accessories. The biggest problem was parking. For such a large hotel, they have only 5 car parkings. Stayed there for couple of days and faced challenges with parking. The staffs are very friendly and service was also excellent

Rooms are very good, but bathrooms are small. Very well maintained and professional staff. Near to Temple.
