New Ashoka Hotel

This is a rich people hotel I will not recommend for poor or middle class . The food you eat here is the same food you can get in Udupi and other same equivalent restaurants with lesser cost . We ordered veg meals the cost of one meal is 130 rupees is too costly not even the bangalore main branch Udupi is not asking. The quality of food they served in this hotel also not that tasty .my suggestion is to try other and if you don't have any option you can go for it . Thank you

The food taste was pathetic not worth for money at all. Very much disappointed with their food taste. Cost wise it was too high taste wise 0%. If it is any rating below 1 star we can give that . Don't visit this place....Not worth for money

Terrible service and worst customer experience. Please do check your charges as they will demand unnecessary charges. Incident brief- We needed a hotel for a few hours, and on Goibibo, a 6-hour booking was available for approximately 700, inclusive of taxes. Initially, the charges for the entire day were quoted as 1200, but they reduced it to 900, stating they didn't have any specific hourly plans but could lower the cost since it was for fewer hours. However, they instructed us not to use the AC. They only provided a small soap, and when we requested a towel, they initially denied it but later provided one. We checked out after 7 hours (I stayed an additional hour as the prices weren't significantly negotiated) and asked about the charges for 2 teas and 1 water bottle, which they quoted as 160. Upon asking for a detailed breakup, they claimed they were charging extra because we had used the room for an additional hour. It's worth mentioning that my husband had already paid 1000 during check-in, and they were supposed to refund us the balance. After a brief argument, I agreed to pay the extra charges. However, after leaving the hotel, I did not even received the refund they were initially supposed to give to my husband and I missed checking since I was unaware, they did not even mention that to me and took that money too. A genuine customer would be willing to pay 1200 if the charges were reasonable and transparent, but misleading them, charging extra unfairly, and withholding their money reflects poorly on the hotel's intentions.

We were there here almost at the evening after the lunch time, What mesmerized/thrilled me is that there 'Rave Idli'(rve iddli) and 'Set Dose'(sett doose). Thoroughly njoyed the fluffy Set Dose and authentic Rave Idli with perfect combination of "chutney" and "sagu". Tasty and yummy .

I stayed at this lodge recently and had a very disappointing experience. While it is conveniently located near public transport, the lodge itself is far from acceptable. The rooms are extremely unhygienic and poorly maintained, with a noticeable stench that makes it difficult to even spend a few hours there, let alone a full night. The water supply is inconsistent, and the overall facilities are subpar. It's a struggle to get any rest here. I would not recommend this place based on my experience.

Rava idly and cup of tea... Must try... Meals - Good quantity but average quality. I ate pulav which is really good. Located opposite to Tumkur private bus stand, Ashoka hotel is an iconic hotel. I used to go for breakfast with my father when I was coming from my Village to sell ground nuts in the market. It was a fun for me to check my weight in the machine located in front of hotel. It's all 45 years memory. But the hotel is still standing and it is one of the best hotels in Tumkur. I can say this hotel is historic, iconic, and with lot of sentiments and memories..

Not good test food please don't visite this hotel in tumakur

Tried their authentic rava idli there,it was very good. And also tried Butter masala dosa,onion dosa, coffee, watermelon and musambi juice. They were just tooo good. You can also get mushroom pulao which is only available on Sunday, taste of the food matches the hype I had received for this place. I'll visit again and eat that rava idli,food and juice.
