Bananki Homestay

We had a fantastic stay at Bananki Homestay! The hosts were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and all the amenities we needed. The garden was a tranquil oasis, beautifully maintained with lush greenery and vibrant flowers. It was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The food was exceptional, with all three meals being delicious and satisfying. The evening snacks and campfire were a lovely touch, adding to the cozy ambiance. And what a wonderful surprise to wake up to bed coffee! It was a lovely gesture that showed the hosts' attention to detail. Overall, Bananki Homestay exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for a warm, welcoming, and relaxing getaway, look no further!

We had been to Bananki, it was an amazing experience. The property is very beautifully managed by the Host, very welcoming and accomodating. The food was awesome and filling. We enjoyed the other activities and special mention is the swimming pool, very clean and water is good. I would highly recommend for any family looking for a vacation place outside the city's hustle and bustle!!

We had a wonderful stay at this homestay with our 6 months baby. The surroundings were beautiful, and the hospitality was exceptional. The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and very hygienic. The hosts made sure we were comfortable and went the extra mile to make our stay memorable. It's very good place to have relaxation. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and pleasant getaway!

Although our stay was for less time, I enjoyed the vibes and ambience of the stay. Food was good and healthy. Rooms are very clean and tidy. Overall nice place to relax with family.

Gorgeous property with every convenience. With spotless rooms and 24-hour hot water supply, the property is immaculately maintained. The winner here is the hospitality and the food. Completely amazed by the delicious and high-quality cuisine. Ideally situated with easy access to all of the main tourist destinations. One of the best ways to experience Maland.

The host, staff and the spread and taste of food is excellent!! Mobile connectivity is a challenge though jio & bsnl works. Great place to enjoy with family and friends and switch off from gadgets for couple of days..!!

We had a very relaxed holiday at Bananki Homestay during the last week of Dec 24. The homestay experience was awesome and fully lived up to our expectations, having read great reviews on social media. The check-in was super smooth (very informal) and the premium room was comfortable. |We had good quality sleep on all the 3 nights and enjoyed the natural beauty right from the well-made balcony. The first morning was fantastic as we were greeted by dense fog and the continuous chirping of a multitude of birds. We had a good time relaxing and sighting some lovely birds. It was exciting to see birds like the Malnad Rocket tailed Drongo, a big woodpecker, green bee eater, peahen / peacock, kingfisher and a host of parrots. Though we did not experience fog during the remaining mornings, the birds did not disappoint. We liked the relaxed bird watching so much that we decided to spend the 3rd day doing nothing but sitting in the balcony and moving out only for the meals. |Arpitha (the host) and her team made sure that every meal was unique and memorable. It was a treat of traditional Malnad cuisine and had a large variety of vegetarian dishes. The dosas (different type for each meal) were all freshly made with their perfect accompaniments. The neer dosa was a highlight and we loved the sweet dish (coconut, jaggery based) that accompanied it. The sambar, stews and chutneys were all superb. We feasted on yummy salads, kotte, kadala curry, vegetable palav, othu shavige and many others in the various meals. The dining set-up was informal and service by the 2-3 staff members was good. Being the Dec season meant most of the rooms were full and so the kitchen was very busy. We looked forward to the desserts and they were wonderful too - coffee mousse, strawberry mousse, fresh fruit salad with ice cream, caramel based sweet etc. Since we stayed 3 nights and a couple of main dishes (traditional Malnad based) were repeating so the new guests can enjoy....Arpitha was gracious in making sure we were served a different main dish and that was a nice surprise.||It was very nice to get hot coffee / tea by 7 am (we were offered a room service though we preferred to walk up to the main dining area) and then the appetizers served by the poolside at 7 pm was something we looked forward to. Though the weather was not too cold (but chill enough that we had to use few woolens), the bon fire was nice. The soups and the snacks (onion pakoras, Mangalore goli bajjis and French fries (on our last day)) were yummy and the timing was perfect leading to dinner at 8.30 pm.||The garden area in the home stay is well maintained with so many different types of flowers. We visited Kuppalli (Rashtrakavi Kuvempu's home and then to his samadhi), Sringeri temple and the lovely Hariharapura math / temple on one afternoon.||Overall, Bananki Homestay is a great experience for those that love nature, silence and good food. |Thanks to Arpitha and Rachan for being lovely hosts.

Our stay here was truly special. The quiet and peaceful area makes it a perfect place to relax. The atmosphere is very pleasant, and the hosts are very welcoming. The food was delicious. I highly recommend it for a peaceful getaway!
