It's a nature lovers paradise. It's located in the heart of nature. The rooms are spacious and luxurious considering its in the jungle. The food is just amazing. If you want peace and get away from the city noises and immerse your self in the melody of nature this is the place to go. They provide 3 meals, snacks and tea as well so no more worrying about food. They also have bon fire where you can sit and connect with others. As a part of the package they take you too a trek in the morning which is very good. Overall it's an amazing experience.

Best place to stay among the places around chikmagluru... Location is amazing... Very near to Hebba falls and Z point trek start points.. Walkable distance to a point where you can witness sunrise and sunset from the mountains.. The staff is very good and supportive... You cannot expect service and facilities of a star rated hotel but staff does best with the resources available at their hand.Their guided treks are really good , guides answer all your questions with utmost patience..I felt food options could be better... One should be able to order food of their choice from the menu... They have a very set menu for all the meals.. It can be a problem with choosy people and kids. Some rooms are ready and some are getting renovated at this point of time... Highly appreciated for maintaining a waste free facility where they try to avoid "use and throw" things.. Thank you for the amazing service.
Rates are per person basis and not per room basis... and it is damn expensive to the service they offer. It shows different rates in different phones and different platforms and different everytime you refresh. There's chance of getting fooled while you book the room. Food is just very basic with limited options and quality is just average.. there is no room service(theres not even a phone in the room). There is no TV. No AC. I had booked one suite room in Agoda for a family of 4+1 for Rs 5340/- thinking it's the cost for one room per night. But turned out it was booked for 1 adult, and they did not even allow my kid to stay in my room. They act very strict to the rules and has attitude towards guests. Lunch was too basic and no kid friendly options. They did not had any starter option for vegetarians. Timings for evening snacks is from 6 30 to 7 while dinner starts at 8 30! Kemmangundi was our family favorite vacation spot since childhood but after it's handed over to jungle resorts they made everything too expensive and soo complicated with just modified rooms! I don't recommend this place to anyone anymore.
We visited on Labour Day 2025. I had booked the Cottage room around 1 month in advance. Booking was made through the Jungle Lodges official website as the prices are lower and you get some discounts on weekday stays. We reached around 11am and got the room at 12pm. Even though the checkin time was at 1pm they allocated the room once it was ready which was nice of them! They have an itinerary which is shared with you at the time of checkin. All activities happen on time according to the itinerary which was amazing! The cottage room we got was comfortable enough for a one day stay. The furnishings and bathroom (wash basin was leaking) was good and manageable but could be better! The food was better than what we expected. There were a lot of options and most items tasted very good. It was hygienic, healthy and tasty. The restaurant staff were helpful and well organised! Reaching Kemmangundi from Birur is not easy. There is currently no government bus connectivity which brings your cost significantly higher. The private cabs charge around 2k one way for 35kms. That's around 4K for round trip which is a lot if just 2 people are travelling. We took a private bus to Lingdhalli which costed 25rs per head and 750rs for auto from there to Kemmangundi for 2 people which brought out total cost to 1600rs for round trip. I wish the government took this issue seriously so it's easier for us to commute without burning a hole in our pockets. Also JLR could arrange pickup and drop to Birur with additional cost with room booking at a more affordable price. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the Hebbe falls visit and Z point trek. Will definitely visit again. I'll mostly drive down from Bangalore next time. Thank you JLR @ Kemmangundi for the great time we had!
Nature's Haven Resort offers serene accommodations amidst stunning landscapes. Exceptional service, delicious dining, and rejuvenating amenities make it the perfect getaway for nature lovers. Highly recommended! We had a wonderful experience at the Jungle Resort! The food was absolutely delicious, with a great variety of options that catered to all tastes. The staff was incredibly cooperative and friendly, always ready to assist with a smile. The atmosphere of the resort was relaxing and peaceful, making our stay memorable. One small suggestion would be to consider hanging wall clocks in all rooms. It would help visitors keep track of time more easily without having to rely on their phones or other devices. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would love to visit again...
Nice jeep ride . Well trained drivers drive the vehicles in rough terrain. Worth the ride to see the beautiful Hebbe waterfalls. Missed sighting animals during the safari.
I forayed into a 11-day stay as a solo female-traveller in The Kemmannugundi Hill Resort, managed by Jungle Lodges and Resorts, under the supervision of "Mr. Rajinikantha", nestled in the heart of Karnataka's lush Chikmagalur district. This resort is nothing short of a paradise for nature lovers and adventure seekers, and is the safest haven for female-travelleres. This enchanting hill station has etched it's memories in my heart with all the breathtaking views, exceptional hospitality of the resort, and a perfect blend of comfort and adventure. From the lovely rooms to the delectable food, impeccable service, and the awe-inspiring trek to Z-Point, every moment at this resort was a testament to its well. The heart and soul of Kemmannugundi Hill Resort lie in its incredibly kind and dedicated staff. From the respected manager Mr. Rajnikantha and the accountant Mr. Arun welcoming me with their warm smiles and making sure that my entire stay goes seamless, to all the other invaluable and loving staff-members, Naturalists Raju & Nithin (making sure each trek was a mesmerising experience), the kitchen team - Vinayak, Diwakar, Sunil, Manju & all others, ensuring that I do not have my stomach upset for a single day, to the housekeeping team - Nithin, Niranjan and all others, made sure that my room remained spotlessly clean and all my requirements were met within time. Kemmannugundi Hill Resort is a hidden gem that offers an unparalleled blend of natural beauty, adventure, and heartfelt hospitality. My stay here was nothing short of magical, and I left with memories that will last a lifetime. If there were an option for more than 5 stars, I would gladly give it to Kemmannugundi Hill Resort. I can't wait to return to this enchanting hill resort for another dose of its charm, very soon!
Comfortable stay, good food. Hebbe falls ands point trek was too good, This resort does not have safari and we had to pay entrance for Hebbe falls of 590/- Very recently jungle lodges has taken over this resort from Horticultural department.
