We recently spent three wonderful days at Atmaveda Riverside Retreat, Mysore by StayVista, and the experience far exceeded our expectations. Nestled in a serene location by the banks of the Cauvery River, the retreat offers an ambience so magical that words and photos can hardly do justice. The cottages are exceptionally spacious, spotlessly clean, and thoughtfully maintained, just like every corner of the property. The retreat is beautifully designed with open grasslands, cozy sit-outs, and plenty of activities for everyone -- from a large swimming pool and riverside bathing to a variety of games for children. A special highlight is its proximity to the Ranganathittu Bird Sanctuary, where you can spot numerous bird species, especially during the golden hues of sunset -- a paradise for bird lovers and nature enthusiasts alike. What truly elevates the experience is the warmth and hospitality of the staff. They are incredibly attentive and go above and beyond to ensure every guest has a comfortable, memorable stay. The food options are equally delightful, offering a good spread of flavors to savor throughout your stay. **A Perfect Riverside Retreat** I had a lovely stay at this charming cottage-style homestay by the river. It was the perfect break from the daily hustle--peaceful, cozy, and surrounded by nature. The sound of the flowing water, fresh air, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere made it a truly relaxing getaway. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and recharge.

Awesome weekend gateway. It is really natural riverside retreat. Sitting at river bank is awesome experience. Staff are very humbled and supportive. Food options are less but very good taste. One small feedback they installed mirror in room. It was only there inside washroom. I will give 100/100 score. Must visit again place.

It's a treasure hunt for people to relax. As by It's name It's calm peaceful and it's river side , it's nice to hear birds chirping in early morning and evening hours... well maintained property with greenery in resort and surrounding... rooms are tidy well maintained... great hospitality and helpful staff, Mr Nagesh helped us to visit surrounding places and very helpful in arranging good food and making stay memorable...

I usually don't write long reviews, but I believe it's important to share our experience for the benefit of future visitors and to hopefully encourage the property to take their responsibilities more seriously. We were a group of four women who stayed at Atma Veda for two days and one night. The property itself is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, nestled by the riverside with a calm ambiance. However, our experience unfortunately did not live up to the price or our expectations. We were charged around 17,000 for a single room for four people. While the room included all basic amenities, we faced recurring issues with electricity--the AC wasn't working properly, and the fan wouldn't switch on when needed. Still, we tried to make the best of it. The food was simple and basic--don't expect anything fancy--but they did have some healthy options like salads. It was okay, nothing great. However, things took a serious turn the next morning. One of my friends got locked inside the washroom due to a faulty doorknob and was stuck for about 20-25 minutes without her phone while the rest of us were asleep. That was scary, but it got worse. Shortly after, a light fixture above the bed sparked and caught fire--possibly due to a short circuit. We were extremely shaken. The fire could have escalated into something much worse had we not acted quickly. At this point, we expected some urgency or concern from the staff--but instead, we were met with indifference. They didn't even bother to check in on us properly or offer any explanation unless we kept following up. When we asked for a different room to get ready (as ours was now unsafe), they sent us to an already occupied room, causing an awkward situation with another family. Eventually, we were given another room, but it had just been vacated and was completely dirty. With no other option, we had to get ready in that unclean space. After repeatedly expressing our concerns, we finally got to speak to the manager. He was the only one who sincerely apologized and explained that during fire incidents, it's protocol for staff to turn off the main switch first--which is understandable--but it still didn't excuse the lack of communication, poor responsiveness, and the lack of basic respect we received in that moment of crisis. To make amends, they offered us a complimentary lunch by the riverside, a fishing experience, and allowed us to stay till evening at no extra charge. We appreciate these gestures, and I don't want to overlook that. But the disappointment lingers. We were four friends who met after a long time, expecting a relaxing and safe vacation. What we got was a deeply stressful, unsafe, and unsettling experience--made worse by how the staff handled it. I'm not trying to overreact here--but fire, broken doorknobs, unsafe wiring, and dismissive staff are not minor inconveniences. Safety, communication, and basic hospitality are non-negotiables, especially when you're charging a premium. This could've ended so much worse, and I shudder to think what might have happened if someone was alone, asleep, or had a medical condition. While I acknowledge accidents can happen, the real issue was the way our concerns were handled--with a lack of empathy, urgency, or accountability. That left a bad taste in all our mouths. I truly hope the management takes this feedback seriously. Until then, I would urge fellow travelers to proceed with caution.

The ambiance here is truly charming perfectly designed to create a relaxing and visually appealing setting. The food was decent not extraordinary, but satisfying enough to complement the overall experience. Service was friendly and the setting made the visit worthwhile.

It is like a paradise on earth. Staff very kind and always ready to help. Room spacious and clean. Food is exellent. Value for money. I will come again definitely.
