Hotel Ashoka Grand

We had lunch in the restaurant. South Indian meals, along with curd rice and bonda soup, were available. The food was tasty. Prices are reasonable. Ample parking available inside the hotel for car and 2 wheelers. Located on the main road towards sagara.

It's a very old hotel. Bedsheet and pillow cover had stains. Even the towels were not clean. They have good food but the hotel room is very decent. There's no dental kit and any other amenities. Also few doors will not unlock with the card.

Stayed here with friends during a cricket tournament last week.. Very clean & hygiene rooms.. Very good room service.. Tasty food.. A perfect stay option if you are visiting Shimoga.. This property falls in Sagar highway, which makes this ideal to stay if u r traveling to Jog Falls..

Very nice hotel good rooms and not so expensive look like grand 3 star hotel ..

Room and bathroom was very neat. Room service was good. It's not very much pricey as well. Only issue was with the hotel staff, as we had a kid we needed hot(boiled water) twice in a day. They don't provide kettle or any facility to heat within the stay area. Hotel staff was not supportive at all, only if the owner is there they will support otherwise they will behave as if they dint hear anything. The cashier lady was always on phone, not even interested in knowing what's happening around. Apart from the hotel staff everything else is very good.

Foods are decent. Not much options. You'll hardly get some 10 items. That's it. Price is resonable. But whatever you order, you'll get a humongous bowl full of chutney

Value for money, friendly staff, plenty of car parking available, 24 hours check in service, great veg restaurant in the ground floor. Overall great good staying experience

Decent rooms, almost clean bathrooms, water pressure I felt low, good size rooms, huge beds, breakfast in hotel is good, idli vada gets over really soon like around 9:30am its over daily, dosa was good, all n all better than average I can say.
