Not sure whether to praise the host more or the stay.. I loved every bit of this stay. It is so well thought and designed. It's got an attic and a cute little pathway that leads you to the tiny balcony where one can sit and just spend time. The property itself is very interesting. There is a workshop where all the vintage furniture is kept. One can take a tour. Mr Pai was very sweet and explained a lot about the workshop which I found very interesting. One has to visit this place to experience the warm hospitality by the host. Kanchana mam you were amazing! She was so warm and so sweet and made sure she took care of everything while we were there. We requested for the refills of the snacks they had kept in the stay for the guests, and they made sure they kept refilling it.

1. The architecture of the place is fabulous, very well and precisely planned. 2. The location is convenient, with city access within a maximum of 20 minutes. 3. The service was excellent; Pooja Kanchan and Sachin were very polite and welcoming hosts. 4. The food was the highlight! I highly recommend tasting the amazing, authentic Udupi vegetarian cuisine; it is worth every penny. I would love to revisit this place with my loved ones soon. Kudos to the Svarna team for such a wonderful experience.

The property is almost a 20 min ride from the railway station. The reception will help you with cabs, if required. Even to explore and go around, we took help from them to arrange cabs for us. Please note that this will be a separate bill. Property was well maintained, neat, and clean. Rooms were decently large and were very much like what they showed in their photos. Note: They charge an additional caution deposit once you are requesting a reservation. We were charged 5k. This amount is later refunded or adjusted against your food bills at the time of checkout. The internet speed was good. I was able to work (including upload, download, and attend zoom calls) without any issues. Service was amazing. Special shoutout to Pooja from the reception desk. She was fluent in English, which was a major plus. She was always available at a ping, helped whenever we reached out or made special requests, and was a great person to interact with. The supporting reception at the stay really made our trip all the more pleasurable. The host Mrs.Kanchana Pai also checked on us during our stay. They offered limited menu in-house (veg only). Though limited, the quantity and quality was impressive. Everything was made fresh and tasted yum. Breakfast was complementary and all other food services were charged separately. Please note that no alcohol/smoking is entertained at the property. Overall, a very professional management hosting a beautiful stay at Udupi. Definitely a good option to consider if you are looking for a peaceful and quiet stay during your trip.

Whether you're looking for relaxation or a homely experience, Svarna is a wonderful choice. The AC however is weak.

Quaint little home stay on the banks of Svarna river. Close to so many awesome temples including Udupi Krishna, Pajaka Kshetra, Saligrama Narasimha/Anjaneya, Anegudde Vinayaka etc. not to mention Malpe beach and delta point. very helpful and friendly staff. They try and make your stay as comfortable as they can. Cottages are rustic with modern amenities. The lofts are an awesome experience for kids. They can arrange cabs or autos for visiting nearby places. Food is homely. Overall a lovely place.

One of the most beautiful stays we have visited so far. Very tastefully put together.Anyone with an eye for architecture will enjoy being here. Staff were cordial. Ms.Pai was a gracious host.

We stayed at Svarna, at the year end and enjoyed every bit of it. This property is strategically located close to the highway, which makes is easily accessible. We could visit all the popular tourist spots also around beach areas and around Mangalore. Hosts have taken care of our every small need and they were accessible throughout. The best part of the stay was home cooked food. We had many types of different dishes and snacks during our stay. Sitting outside the cottage or in the balcony in the morning or evening is one of the great past time for us. Architecture and design of this cottage is the USP, which brings you closer to the nature ... natural settings in the midst of the nature. We loved every bit of our stay and will surely recommend Svarna for stay.

I stayed at Svarna for 3 nights. The experience was wonderful. The rooms were a thoughtful blend of traditional architecture equipped with modern amenities. The food served was traditional and lip-smacking. Could go there again just for that. The property is full of natural freshness and greenery. The staff (Asha, Ratna) was very courteous and helpful. Glad I got a chance to meet the owner, Kanchana. Very hospitable and warm. Highly recommend this homestay in Udupi.
