Viewtopia- luxury homestay

This was by far the worst and most unsafe property we've ever stayed at in Nandi Hills. It's nowhere near a luxury homestay, and frankly, it should be removed from all booking sites due to the serious safety concerns. We had the most distressing experience of our lives 1. Monkey Menace: The property is overrun by monkeys, and there are absolutely no proper safety measures in place to prevent them from entering the rooms. We were warned about monkeys coming through the balconies, so we kept the doors shut at all times. However, this wasn't enough. The monkeys managed to enter our room through the bathroom exhaust, which the staff had carelessly left open when handing over the room to us. There was no notice about closing the exhaust or any preventive measures, like a grill on the exhaust, even though the owners were well aware of this issue. one morning , at 5 am, the monkeys entered our bathroom, and I luckily woke up and had to rush to get our 3-year-old son out, with my husband, to protect ourselves. There was no 24-hour caretaker--something you would expect in a property charging such high rates. The caretaker leaves at 10 pm and only returns at 8:30 am, leaving guests vulnerable overnight in a place infested with monkeys. The owners were dismissive and unapologetic, insisting they had done enough to prevent monkeys, which was clearly not the case. It's clear they've cut corners by hiring inexperienced and negligent caretakers, all while charging a premium for poor service and safety. 2. Dangerous Glass Doors: Another incident involved the glass doors in the main seating area. They were jammed and in poor condition. When attempting to open one of the sliding doors, it shattered instantly, sending glass flying everywhere, injuring one of my relatives. We were all in shock, and thankfully, my relative narrowly avoided serious harm. This could have been catastrophic. The owners clearly don't prioritize maintenance and repairs, operating the villa on a shoestring budget without any concern for guest safety. By the grace of God, we avoided serious injury in both incidents due to our own quick thinking, but these situations were life-threatening. This was, without a doubt, the most traumatic holiday we've ever had.

Great view of Nandi Hills from the room. Jacuzzi was a fun experience, though the water could be warmer. Rooms are new and very clean. Homestay also has activities like carrom, badminton, darts. Overall, would strongly recommend.

We spent one night at Viewtopia when I had booked the entire place (all rooms) for my family. The place is done up very tastefully, especially the lawns and the common areas. The place looks even better at night. The rooms are like good hotel rooms (all are suites) and provided comfortable rest/sleep. Thankfully the mattress was the right firmness (wasn't too soft like I find in many hotel rooms). But the best part of the stay was the service provided by the staff. Tharun, Puneeth, Robin, Alpana - you guys rock! Thank you for taking such good care of us.

The caretakers were really polite and friendly. Also the food was really tasty. Viewtopia now turns out to be recent favourites. I ll refer my friends and I will do visit sometime soon again. Excellent Servise. It's indeed a customer delight!!!! Lovely host, most importantly the lady who cooked food had magic in her hands. Homely food but yummmmmm. Lovely view of Nandi Hills from the rooms. Jacuzzi was the icing on the cake!!!! The barbecue in the evening was a lovely experience after the jacuzzi.... Thanks a ton team for making it so special for my family.... Looking forward to visiting again....

Overall it was a good stay experience at Viewtopia . The staff were courteous and attended to all our needs during the stay . It has a pretty big outdoor lawn area where one can freely move around & play . Food was cooked as per our liking and served timely. Good for a short one to two day trip

As a 15 member group, we had a great time for the new year eve celebration (31-Dec-23) at this property. It is indeed a luxury stay with great amenities and well maintained. Kids specially enjoyed the lawn, rain dance and the jacuzzi. It has a nice landscape view to the outer surroundings. The team could consider working on the breakfast option.

They immediately re-listed the property on the same website, on the same dates, for nearly double the price (from INR 40k to 70k), after CANCELLING our booking and telling us that the property is unavailable.
