Southern Star Mysore

I had a pleasant stay at Souther star, Mysore. The check in process was smooth and the staff was courteous and helpful throughout. The room was clean, well-maintained and equipped with all essential amenities. I particularly appreciated the comfortable bed and the cleanliness of the bathroom. ||The location is convenient with easy access to nearby attractions and transportation. Room service was prompt and the food quality was satisfactory. Overall, a comfortable and hassle-free experience. Would consider staying again.

We stayed for one night. Due to late check-in, we got a complimentary upgrade to an executive room. It was a very large room with ample space and furniture for a family of three. Overall, the hotel is okay but cannot be a five or even a four star. We tried their lunch buffet at zest restaurant, for a price of 1200 per person, it didn't meet expectation. However, the complimentary breakfast in the same restaurant next day was much better in terms of food, variety, and service. The other restaurant offers 499 lunch buffet, which is South Indian meals, and it seemed promising. The location of this hotel is really good and connect centrally to all parts of the city. Most of the tourist places are 10 to 15 minutes away. Good infrastructure but there needs to be improvement in the training of the staff and services in general. They also need to use better and cleaner cutlery, especially for in room dining services. The room, although big didn't seem as it was maintained well. Same was the case with the lobby area, pool and the lawn. If I returned to Mysore, this wouldn't be my first preference to stay, but it wouldn't be my last as well.

We visited Mysore as part of our family trip in November, the hotel is huge. The day of our visit, there was some VIP moments in the hotel because of which the local transport that we arrived in was not allowed to the Porte cochere. Since we arrived by Vande Bharat train, we had taken a local auto. The railway station is a kilometre away from the hotel. ||Rooms are quite small and run down. The morning breakfast buffet was very busy on all days that we stayed. The quality of food could be better order had to be follow-up multiple time with the server and also at the live station. ||We got a cab book from the travel desk to do a tour of Mysore, which was good.

The pool was so great and food was awesome.. The ambience id great as well.. Thr front desk team is so helpful and lovely.. My check inn and check out process was smooth and quick.. Really thankful to Ester from the front desk she's so lovely and helpful with her great smile... Really enjoyed the stay here.. We will come back for sure

Zest restaurant is excellent... Abhishek Roy is very humble and very welcoming. |The only concern is the wifi connection... They need to improve. Otherwise a thumbs up to the Southern Star. This is our 2nd time here. We highly recommend Southern Star. R

Southern Star Mysore is a luxurious 4-star hotel located in the prime location of Mysore city. This hotel offers a good mixture of comfort and elegance for both business and leisure travelers. Hotel guests can enjoy world class amenities such as a well-equipped fitness center, a refreshing outdoor pool, and a luxurious spa. Room was excellent and all are perfect. Room was clean, well maintained and comfortable. While staying, we have tried dinner buffet and morning breakfast - both in Zest restaurant; other is Gardenia. Breakfast range was very good and food was tasty. But dinner was pretty average - it was not up to the mark at least for the taste.

The Team is very kind and has a warm welcome by assisting in Baggage and Car Park. Rooms are very comfortable. Washrooms are clean. The Buffet spread is jaw dropping. The special Banana leaf lunch is also very sumptuous and finger licking good !

It is a wonderful place for family and rest. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. This hotel is very kind and caring. All of the staff are very professional. Everyone is polite and kind. Breakfast is wonderful. We enjoy the atmosphere and surroundings.
