What I liked:||1. Property is really good..nice place to walk about, activities for all age groups, friendly staff, |2. Easy accessibility by all means of transport. |3. All the major sightseeing places in Mysore city are just 20-30 mins away by drive. |4.Excellent food with good spread. ||What could be better:||1. Room readiness - We were allotted a particular room when we checked in - but it had a faulty air conditioner, and a very bad telephone instrument. We had to complaint and then get it changed that very evening.||2. Repose of staff could have been a bit better in terms of room service and housekeeping. No complaints at all on the service provided. ||I had a great stay Silent Shores. Looking forward to my next visit.
A Very good place to visit if you are looking for a short relaxing break especially if you are from Bangalore. Rooms are spacious and we stayed at the lake view cottage. Service was good and the ambience of the resort was very nice. The breakfast buffet spread and the restaurant food could be improved. Swimming pool and the man made lake were well maintained. Overall a good place to relax.
Lovely setting in gardens. Great pool. Lots of space. Rooms are basic in furnishings, but clean and well serviced. Staff were very good, fluent in English and so kind. A good range of tasty food. Very good value. Afternoon tea by the lake was a nice tough. Try the Marsala tea!
Very disappointing stay. The resort was unclean due to a marriage event, and the swimming pool--advertised as private--was taken over by a summer camp without any prior notice. It's clear the management prioritizes events over guest comfort. Poor planning and communication made the experience not worth the price.
Silent Shores Resort is a fantastic getaway with so much to offer! They have a great variety of room options to suit different preferences--we chose the lake-view duplex, which was spacious. From the moment we arrived, the experience was delightful, starting with welcome drinks and a thoughtful touch of complimentary fruits and cookies in our room. The complimentary hi-tea in the evening was a nice surprise, and the food was quite good. The resort features a massive swimming pool and a superb, well-maintained indoor games facility--perfect for relaxation and recreation. The breakfast buffet had a good variety and was well-prepared. The lush greenery all around added to the peaceful ambiance, making it a perfect retreat. Overall, we had a pleasant and memorable stay. Highly recommended!
One of the best resort in Mysore with excellent location. Rooms are very good and spacious. Morning breakfast buffet and evening High tea are other attractions. Spa facilities have good choice. Beautiful swimming pools and lakeside evening dinner are other memories to be carried. Courteous staffs and lots of parking space. Overall it's worth to stay there.
"HORRIBLE SERVICE" We have visited Silent Shores multiple times and post corona we haven't really visited this resort. we wanted to recreate the memory for our kids who used to love that place and booked 3 rooms and went with our friends. Upon arrival they guided us to the room. The calling bells weren't working, the toilet flush was continuously leaking and so many mosquitoes that we couldn't step out at all. I understand the property is surrounded with waterbodies but the maintenance has gone to dogs. We went to Ambrosia to have lunch and we ordered good which took more than 45 minutes for them to serve and we had to literally ask them to serve every time as they would just stand like key dolls. We put up with all this and still wanted to make our day good by enjoying and bothering about all this. During checkout was the worst experience we had. My friend Nitin waited for 10 minutes for them to give the clearance to the rooms and the housekeeping said that there was no problem and we could go to the reception to pay the final bill, they also collected our luggage in the buggy and dropped it off at the parking. As advised we went to the reception and the lady there was on the phone and said "Sir, there are a few things missing so wait till we check all". We waited patiently and then she said there were three Bathrobes and an umbrella missing. We told them that the first room had three bathrobes - 1 in the cupboard unused and two on the small table meant for footwear, second room had both the robes unused and kept on the table and the third room had one used on the bed and the unused on the table. Umbrella was left at the security gate the previous day with the room details. The receptionist communicated the same to the person she spoke with and the gentleman Santosh on the other end kept saying that he didn't find them and now the receptionist instead of having them double checked got rude with us and when we advised her to have Santosh come to reception and talk to us she right in front of us said " I cant talk to these customers, if you want you come here and talk". Such unprofessional way of treating the customers which we encountered for the first time. By now both my husband and I were furious and my friend Nitin too was upset. Santosh comes to reception and talks to us and says we have 3 bathrobes and an umbrella missing and we said could you please check coz everything is kept there to which he got rude and said (singular term in Kannada - "Ellide Thorsu")we got irked and my friend said "in case if I show it to you what are you going to answer for the kind of treatment we are getting?" He started throwing tantrums and at this point we lost our cool and shouted at him and took him back to the room and he was so lame and blind that he couldn't see things kept in its place. He hadn't even sorted the towels and bathrobe and also hadn't checked with the security for the umbrella before making such serious allegations in front of the staff and the other customers. We literally had to pull the robe out of the cupboard and throw it in front of him and also count the robes in front of him which wasn't our place or job to do so. He now realised his mistake and apologised. But the insult we went through and the mental pressure and emotional trauma they put us through for more than an hour and a half was not something that was justified. We insisted to talk to the GM. The GM Mr. Kamal Kumar comes and we made sure we call Santosh, his manager and the security to confirm everything that happened and all that the GM did was apologise and give us his visiting card and advised to visit next time and he would ensure that this wouldn't happen. At least a gesture to show that they are sorry wasn't even attempted. Did we have to go through this? It never set a got experience for all of us including our kids and we would strongly not recommend anyone to visit this place and I would rate them a "0" on their hospitality, customer service and de-escalation. Its no more the same Silent Shores we loved!
