Palace turned hotel managed by JLR ( Jungle Lodges and Resorts ) group. I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Lalit Palace Mysore, and it truly exceeded my expectations! The hotel's majestic architecture and stunning gardens transported me to a bygone era of royal grandeur. The rooms were lavishly appointed with elegant furnishings, and the service was impeccable. The staff were warm and attentive, catering to every need with a smile. The highlight was the delicious breakfast spread, featuring local specialties. Not many international cuisines or variety available on the breakfast spread. The scenic views of the palace gardens from the dining area added to the flavours.Obviously you can also sit and enjoy in the garden area. They have seating arrangements there as well. If you're looking for a luxurious and regal experience in Mysore, Hotel Lalit Palace can be truly considered. Overall it was good experience however reduced one star, as I felt there are many areas of negligence and they can do better.

The property is royal and historical, our stay was very good. Some points of improvement - it needs better maintenance. Bathroom fittings need repairs. Breakfast does not have any live counter and they provide pre-decided menu. We requested for bed accessories for the baby, they said they will comeback but we did not hear back from them. Swimming pool also needs better maintenance
Stayed here on weekday and it was surprisingly having few guests which was good. The hotel is massive with historical items all over. It is spacious and lots of trees around. In the morning we would see peacocks frolic around the garden along the pool. The service was alright. The food definitely could be improved. The stay was comfortable.
Old heritage hotel Really nice and beautiful building. Well painted from outside and common areas. However maintenance of rooms leave lots of improvements. Door latches do not work, bathroom floor very slippery, shower area is a retrofit with 1feet high platform. But it was nice to stay in this heritage property.
"Just brilliant"|Lalitha isn't just a hotel, it's a destination. As a hotel, staff were wonderful, food was great, breakfast a treat, the bar huge, well stocked & reasonably priced. Good sized rooms but treat yourself to a massive heritage room or suite. A pleasure to have a cooling drink on the vast balcony at sunset before strolling down the grand marble staircase to the lofty dining hall for an excellent dinner. The garden and swimming pool were a treat as well as strolling around the manicured formal gardens to the front. The general manager & his staff do a superb job, well done. Don't miss this opportunity to stay in a palace & be treated like a maharaja ! Treat yourself to the huge duplex room. Or go mad and have the viceroy suite, amazing ! This is a fantastic opportunity for a palatial stupendous environment that will become a rare opportunity unless you're extremely wealthy. Go for it ! I spent a week here; came back for another week. Loved every minute. Wish I could move in ! Seriously impressed.|27 Jan 2025
I have visited twice. The first time visit in 2015 experience was great as they offered great service. We were late after lunch timings but they accommodated our request for lunch and offered great lunch with excellent service. The second time experience was bad. The gate security asked if we are visiting only for which I said yes because we were not planning to stay and take the accommodation. But seems he asked whether we are visiting or to have lunch also. He offered a ticket which cannot be redeemed against the lunch cost and permits stay for 1 hour with a tea. I tried explaining to the reception and convert to Lunch tickets but they said it cannot be done. The tea was served poorly and didn't match the JLR standards.
Lovely experience staying in a real palace and taking the royal feel. It was a place we look forward to and wish we spent more time, exploring the pool and spa. Missed those but loved the food in breakfast spread as well.
Amazing Place. If you want to get a feel of staying in a palace then this is one such place which cannot be missed. Staff are very helpful and Restaurant food is super nice. Giving 4 starts because rooms can be maintained better otherwise this place is 5/5
