Jk homestay

This is an independent, newly-built 2-bedroom house on the first floor on the outskirts of Mysore, about 8-10 kms from the city centre. The owner lives in the ground floor. You'll like this house if you have small kids that need space, privacy and a kitchen to cook. The locality is very decent but secluded. The kids can play outside the house on the street during daytime as it is peaceful and not many vehicles pass through this street. You get hot water 24 hours via solar, if the weather is not very bad. There are no attached bathrooms but only one common bathroom, which is very much manageable. Basic utensils are provided in the kitchen. You can park your 4-wheeler outside the building on the side of the road. You can go around Mysore from this place if you have your own vehicle and plan properly. There are no big eateries around but Zomato delivers food here. Now coming to improvement areas: 1) The kitchen and the bathroom was not cleaned when we checked-in. 2) There is no fridge or microwave oven and hence becomes difficult to store/heat food or milk for small children. 3) The bedroom next to pooja room has red ant homes at the door frames that bit my 2-year old girl badly when she was sleeping on the bed. 4) There is a smart TV with no cable connection but Wi-Fi that was working only intermittently. You have to cast the video content from your phone to watch anything. 5) The mosquitoes were not many but there are quite a few that enter through the ventilators in the bathroom and pooja room. 6) The toiletries and towels were not provided. You need to carry them along. 7) The bedspreads and blankets have to be washed and cleaned before every check-in. Overall, we were very satisfied. It could have been exceptional and 5-star had the above improvement areas were taken care of.

I am writing this review as it was a fantastic experience. Thanks to Mr Jayanth for going above & beyond to being so awesome & cooperating in every situation. Wonderful host & human being greeted us with a great smile & warmth. I would recommend this stay to everyone visiting Mysore. The location is away from the hussle of the city which is the best part. The place is very clean & has everything u need for a great price & pictures are exact the way being shown on Internet. Once again I would like to conclude what a great place, an awesome human being & a wonderful host.

I will recommend this place to everyone who is in group of 5-6. The place is neat and clean with good behaviour of the host... And the price is very reasonable.. amenities like kitchen TV parking wifi is available

Earlier I was skeptical whether I did the correct thing while booking this homestay. We were prepared for the worst and after a long road travel from Munnar we reached here by night. Google Maps took us various industry route at night and elevated our fears a lot. But the moment we reached, we never expected we got the best deal. We have been provided keys for the 1st floor, and oh boy its just very big place to easily accommodate a big family of 7-8 members. My little ones after getting this place they played a lot. Also like a good hotel we got all the facilities. In the morning I was greeted with owner, he is a very friendly person. We did not find any problem. I am definitely going to recommend this homestay to all big family members try to connect directly with the owner, will get reasonable price compared to Hotels in Mysuru. My only recommendation to the owner is to please provide the phone number as I am unable to see direct contact number.

It's very good & decent place to stay with family & friends, easy access to Mysore central, Ooty road & Srirangapatna. We felt like it's our house, cool, calm, newly constructed & neatly maintained. Owners are very friendly. We experience it & price is worth for 6ppl stay. Thank you Ranjith.
