Lovely experience. Helpful friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and wide choice of delicious dishes for dinner. Light bright airy rooms clean and comfortable. There is a lovely coffee shop with home made cakes.
We didn't stay, we visited the palace and had food from here.the palace was a good experience. It is well maintained. The food in the restaurant outside was horrible.
This place is also known as the Green Hotel. Their cafe called Malgudi days is a must stop. The cafe is run by local tribal girls trained in the art of making delicious cakes, brownies, sandwiches and quite a bit more. As you enter the cafe, it transports you to an era gone by, right from the structural design to the floor made with old mosaic. It is a part of history for sure.
Place is really really good. Perfect place to get totally relaxed n spend quality time with family as there's no TV. We really appreciated it. Only thing is they need to give a little more attention towards power back up. Especially during summer. Otherwise everything n everyone are wonderful. Food n service gets a thumbs up.
A beautiful little palace with a quiet, open restaurant that served us some excellent food. I am a lover of art and architecture and with all of that in one place it was a beautiful experience to meet friends here. Will surely return every time I am in Mysore.
It's a unique and historical place to stay and dine. I went there with my wife and We really enjoyed sitting outside in the lawn. Nice ambiance and tasty food...
Chittaranjan Palace is a lesser known palace at Mysorethat was originally built for a princess of the Mysore royal family. It presently houses the "Green Hotel". It is a small hotel with 31 rooms and is eco-friendly (solar power, no AC, no TV, etc.). The profits from the hotel are given to charity Chittaranjan Palace was built by the Maharaja of Mysore for his sister in 1916. This palace was sold off by the royal family to a film company, where film studio called "Premier Studios" was created. Many a shot of the famous TV serial The Sword of Tipu Sultan were taken here. The studio was closed down after a fire broke out. The building was abandoned till it was converted to a hotel, called "Green Hotel" in 1970s.
