RNS Guest House

We called and reserved a room with the RNS guesthouse and was told that their standard rooms were good and having sea view. However, the rooms were old, not well maintained, and without basic services like room service or even wifi, even after paying the same standard rates as any other hotel. The extra bed we asked for, is merely a mattress to be laid on the floor. While checking in, they asked us multiple times if we wanted to "see the room" which is not a usual practice, seemed like they tried to get us to change our mind to choose a costlier and better room after letting us soak in the horrendous state of the room we had initially paid for.

Our stay at RNS Residency, was comfortable, peaceful and good. The staff at the reception was helpful and pleasant. Good ambience and service was good. The complementary breakfast was very good. The room has a balcony with a beautiful view of the sea. Excellent stay. Worth the visit.

Guest house does not have room service or any eating place in the premises. You have to walk up and down slopes and steps to access the restaurant. No wifi available. Standard Room- General upkeep is okay. Other properties around the beach might offer better facilities. No provision of tea or coffee maker in the room.

Rooms: clean neat . Good room area .Overpriced . Mosquito issue ( they give repellents ) . Safe for family .No wifi . Service :No room service .Not pleasant or professional . Location : positives : near temple and beach . New clean rooms with good area . Negatives : path to room is steep ( 100-200 mtrs) . Old / frail people might find it difficult if you don't have own vehicle .

This hotel is property of RNS group. Murudeshwar island has two properties- RNS Residency and RNS Guesthouse. Residency is a star hotel in premium range while gueshouse is moderately priced. Both the properties has great location, very closer to the tall shiva statue. I stayed in property named NATRAJ in the guesthouse. The room was spacious with 2 chairs and additional space for extra mattress. It has both sea view at the back (Glass, and not balcony) and statue view from the front door gallery. Service was poor as there was no room service, took time at reception to check in and allocate room. No extra sachet of mil powder for tea and bottled water was provided even when we offered to pay extra. Very slow room service. Tea service/cafe starts from morning 7:30 and breakfast timing is 8AM to 10AM.

An Unforgettable Stay Amidst Serenity and Splendor!! I recently had an excellent stay at this hotel, which is located within the temple premises. This made our visit incredibly convenient and spiritually fulfilling. The family rooms were spacious and well-appointed, ensuring comfort for everyone. One of the highlights was the Arabian Sea view from the window; it was breathtaking. From one side of our room, we had a serene temple view, and from the other side, we could gaze out over the vast sea. The amenities provided were top-notch, enhancing our overall experience. Altogether, it was a great place to stay, close to God, and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

Location is the plus point if you plan to visit beach or temple. NOT RECOMMENDED FOR SENIOR CITIZENS. The up climb is difficult. Food at RNS Cafe was good, but no one visits it due to he up climb. At night its full with bugs so don't go in evening and night. DON'T GET COMPLIMENTARY BREAKFAST !! Food at Naveen is mediocre at best, which is where RNS Guest house serves its free breakfast. They give a coupon for complimentary breakfast which is like a set menu with no options. Idili, set dosa, upma, shera and tea or coffee. Coffee was bad, rest were just good enough to eat. Rooms were clean but there's no room service. WIFI didn't work and we were asked to goto RNS Cafe for Wifi and the staff there nodded NO to Wifi. So, they bluffed about everything. Staff was helpful at their best. No non-veg is served in and around this area, probably due to temple. There are ok non-veg restaurants around 700 metres area. Beach is not well kept and people misuse the freedom. You'll see car and vehicles driven on the beach.

We stayed for 1 night with family. Rooms are good with nice sea view but the complimentary breakfast provided by them is worst and pathetic it is limited breakfast with very less options and there is no hygeine at all. Its waste of money and waiters behavior is very rude with the customers. We suggest to check with hotel before opting complimentary breakfast
