Hotel Madhuvan Serai

Had a great stay at the hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, but what really stood out was the staff--super friendly, helpful, and just very down to earth. Nothing felt over the top, just genuine service that made the whole experience really pleasant. Would definitely come back.

I had a wonderful stay at Madhuvan Serai in February and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The property is well-maintained, clean, and offers a peaceful environment that's perfect for relaxation.

Travelling solo and the staff have been kind, courteous and very helpful. I had a delayed check out which was brilliant and helped me leave my bags safe whilst I waited for onward transport. Rooms spacious and comfortable. Reception staff excellent. I would visit again

Stayed here as part of a small tour group. Rooms were very comfortable. Great shower. Restaurant offered quite an extensive Indian menu. Also some Chinese dishes. Food was very good but service in restaurant was very mixed. Hotel was reasonably priced and majority of guests were either visiting Udopi or on courses with the Banks nearby.

Rooms are very good and clean. Location is good as well. They have both Veg and Non Veg restaurant, which serves a very big menu of items. Their breakfast buffet spread is also good. Overall good experience. TV and WIFI service can be improved.

Fast service and nice ambience. Food tastes average. Haven't tried the drinks. Dragon chicken was dry. Could have been better.

Positives - spacious room, reasonable A/C, bottle of water in room at checkin, rooms appeared clean||Negatives - minimal hot water for bathing, uncomfortable bed, noisy (!!!), promised complementary breakfast was minimalistic and largely inedible, promised 'toiletries' = bar of soap only, internet frequently interrupted, many staff couldn't seem to answer questions, power interruptsion occurred frequently during my stay. ||Overall, the 3-star rating is a farce (fair = 2-star). This is not a high end hotel, not even mid-level. The online reviews appear to have been written by the hotel itself because what I wrote above was agreed to by others with whom I spoke. Staff is friendly. Clean hotel. Rates were a bit high considering December end otherwise overall a good stay. They have a restaurant right next to the hotel, good food there.
