I stayed here for 5 days and I got a fair idea about the hotel. The hotel is located bang opposite City Centre mall and is in a very busy part of Mangalore, so location is definitely a plus. On the flip side, because my room was on the first floor and facing the street it was very noisy at all times on the night because inter-state buses ply on this road. The hotel also has decent amount of parking although the approach to the parking area is not so great. One of the major con of this hotel is the food. They do not have a restaurant and if you need something they have to ask a third party to cater it. Breakfast which is part of the daily tariff is very sub-par and repetitive. I also had a problem with A/C & remote for my room. I could not get it working some times. Overall the hotel is still livable although at 3.5K per day, probably there are better options in Mangalore?

I booked in advance thru yatra.com and end up paying more than standard ac room charges - and got non ac room. Was trying to book for 3, and mistakenly booked for 2 due to default selection on yatra.com. After realizing the booking error, i reached out and explain the situation to the hotel guy over call immediately- he mentioned not to worry and 3 person can be accommodated as part of same booking without addition charges. That didn't happen when we reach, we were asked to pay extra for 3rd person. If known earlier i would have cancelled the booking and rebooked. Can improve on internal communication to avoid such situations for customers. To improve : Service - daily housekeeping, complimentary breakfast quality, providing water, glasses, toiletries etc according to number of guests.

If the rooms are facing the road, you will not be able to sleep. The road noise comes in and it was very disturbing. Please insist on rooms not on the side of the road. Location is great.

Worst service from staffs! They don't have any concern about guests... I think they don't have any seriousness to run this hotel industries

Overall, the room was well-maintained and provided a perfect blend of comfort I would highly recommend Vasanth Mahal for anyone looking for clean and hygiene rooms with plenty of parking space available.

Located just opposite city center mall, you have good options to explore resturants for breakfast,lunch and dinner close by. Rooms are quiete spacious, clean and tidy. They provide breakfast but dont serve lunch and dinner since they dont have an inhouse resturant. Staff is humble and cooperative. Worth the price.

A good hotel in the main market area of Mangaluru. Room was good. Provides complimentary breakfast, which was excellent.
