Shoolin Palace

We had a wonderful stay! The hospitality was excellent--warm, welcoming, and truly thoughtful. The staff was polite, attentive, and always ready to help. The rooms were well maintained and comfortable. Their additional services, especially the cab facility, made our trip smooth and stress-free. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area! Excellent Hospitality & Service by Mr Naveen (Manager), Miss Gouthami, Mr Alwin and also all the room service staff were so humble and easily accessible.

Tiny rooms, pool covered for event. No proper restaurant or dining area. Food is delivered to room uncovered and open. No cold drinks which was very surprising. It's convenient only if you have an event there wouldn't suggest for only stay.

Amazing stay near the airport, and at a very reasonable price. We booked it last minute and arrived here to be surprised by the stunning property. The front desk and room service staff is very good, courteous and get things done quickly. The rooms were immaculately maintained. The bathrooms in the suite rooms are huge, good comfortable beds and all the rooms were air conditioned with the ACs working perfectly well. The only slightly disappointing thing was that the swimming pool was not very clean, we still took a dip and enjoyed, but would've liked it if it was cleaner. Overall a wonderful stay, couldn't have asked for a better place and better treatment.

Worst hotel stay ever. The room was an absolute disaster. There was no chair, the AC barely worked, and there was no Wi-Fi despite it being advertised. The washroom stank, the tap didn't work, and it looked like the used bathroom towels were being used as carpets. We booked a room for two adults and a child, but it was cramped and claustrophobic. The TV and fan didn't work, and the remote was literally burnt. The windows were stuck and tinted from the inside, so we couldn't even get fresh air or a view. On top of it all, room service ignored our calls. Truly a horrible experience--would not recommend to anyone.

The hotel is outside the city. Unless you are having your own car it doesn't work out as the auto and cab will charge you an arm and a leg for the transportation charges. We had to pay 1.5X times the meter charge from the railway station. That is almost INR 1000 for two autos and some luggage. There is no Ola or Uber coverage. Even the Ola auto from the Mangalore Junction railway station, the autos are not allowed to pick up passengers from the main gate area for arrivals. Touted as a resort the property doesn't have a functional restaurant although it is advertised as a resort. There is an empty dining area which may be used by party or group. The dinner order was a DISASTER. We placed an order with the reception desk at 8:25 pm, 3-4 items - Chicken 65, Chicken Hakka Noodles, Chicken Schezwan Fried Rice, Chicken Masala with Lemon Juice (2). It's 9:35 pm and we had Chicken 65 turn up at the door. We were then informed that the rest of the order will be delivered in some time. So finally 9:47 pm now and the rest of the order except for the lemon juice has been delivered. The one thing that I truly liked is the WiFi router in the room. The staff particularly the reception staff does not have any proper orientation to interact with customers. I had to argue with him to explain why Booking.com had both my name and my son in law's name but for some strange reason the property hadn't got details of my name in the reservation details. There is not even a glass of water offered to customers, forget about any welcome drink one may expect in a resort setting. Room did not have any extra towel or extra bed although booking is for 3 guests. Picture is ample proof of the congested situation. Otherwise, there is a lot of potential but no interest or intention in getting goodwill by treating guests well and hospitably.

We had booked the entire property for our Haldi, Sangeeth and Wedding for 3 days. Pool, Villa, outdoor venue, party hall (more like a dance floor or club), hotel rooms etc. best place for a destination wedding in mangalore!!

Had a wonderful stay at Shoolin palace Beautiful location, friendly staff, clean and spacious rooms. The food was excellent and there were plenty of relaxing and fun activities. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway

The studio rooms are very very cramped. The bathrooms are good. Location is good and peaceful. The food is good but there is absolutely zero coordination between reception and the kitchen guys, for every item we asked the receptionist did not know whether the items were available and had to call the kitchen guys to confirm it, causing a lot of delays. Instead they can just ask the customer to call the kitchen directly and order it, receptionist has zero knowledge of food items availability and its status.
