Manasa Cottages

This place was scenic and breathtakingly beautiful. The view from the lodge of the trees and river was magnificent. The lodge itself is simple, homely and spacious. Rooms were quite old fashioned and pretty, large, clean and well maintained. This place is suitable for nature lovers, but not for people looking for a very fancy boutique hotel experience. The food was tasty and good mangalorean cuisine. The manager was very helpful and hard working and provided for all our needs. Overall a very memorable experience and I will be returning often.

We visited this place with my friends during a vacation with lot of expectations. This has a massive area and located in a perfect place for people who want to spend in a peaceful location with no disturbances. But I feel like the place is been abused by not providing professional and quality services. No food available We stayed there in 3 days. Not even a single day they changed the linen. Management has to really look in to improving on professional services.

The location & the vista around are superb but the maintenance of the resort is lacking. While the cottages are spacious, the bathrooms are unclean and the fixtures are broken. The staff are helpful but untrained. Services in the dining room are below standard. Food is brought from outside and served cold. On weekends, food service takes a very long time. Starters were served at 10pm and dinner at 12 midnight! Coffee served is very light and semi hot. The garden is unkempt and an eyesore. Can be a great place if maintained well. Difficult to recommend at the moment - as in February 2019.

It's a beautiful place with nice view but maintenance needs to improve. The first day plates had roaches running in them, not well cooked food, it was smelling bad. Rooms are not clean, all bedsheets had holes in them. If they improve maintenance, its a great place.

Hi I visited this place with my husband. Please don't waste your money and time on this horrible resort. This resort is situated in a very beautiful location but it's horribly maintained. |1) The owner is not even bothered and not welcoming at all.|2) The cottage is horribly maintained. There are so many lizards to welcome you. There are lizards hiding behind the curtains and some are even on the floor. There are so many insects and cob webs.|3) The balcony is so dirty and dusty. They don't even come and clean your room if you ask them. The quilt which was kept in the room was stinking and so we asked them to bring a fresh one but they didn't even get it.|4)The food is so damn horrible. They tell they have a kitchen but get it from different place each day and it's so cold by the time it reaches you. And it looks like they get it from some cheap local vendor but charge you a bomb. When you tell the owner he is not even bothered.|5) We were told breakfast is free and they don't even serve you proper breakfast. The food is stale with so much oil. The food is so unhealthy. |THEY BLAME IT ON THE HOTEL STAFF BUT I FEEL THE OWNER AND THE MANAGEMENT IS IRRESPONSIBLE AND CARELESS. WHEN THE MANAGEMENT IS SO IRRESPONSIBLE IT IS OBVIOUS THE STAFF ALSO BEHAVES THE SAME.

This is one of best resorts in Mangalore with forest and hills all around. Some rooms have view of airport whr u can see clearly flights takeoff and land. Their food is decent and staff are really good. Rooms and wash rooms are clean. Location is the best to take time away from busy life and relax.

Worst management and room service. We had to carry our baggage to our rooms ourselves. Management was not listening our problems. They have no kitchen! Yes, no kitchen at all. When we order food, they simply take 2 hr to deliver from nearby restaurant. Also quality and quantity of breakfast and dinner was worst.(They ordered 7 Roti for 7 people!) Location was good but service was pathetic , so please don't visit unless you have money to waste.

This was the last night of our tour in India.|The hotel is old, or at least appears to be. It has a wonderful location on top of a hill. Views of the airport, river and valley below are available from balconies at each room. ||The hotel has WiFi and games available in the lobby. Rooms are actually suites with sitting areas. Beds were clean and comfortable, not hard like many of the hotels where we stayed.||Food was typical Indian.
