Hotel Shoolin Grand

Hotel is decent and the location is awesome. The room is good but need more maintenance and they need to check the door locks, fan noise, cockroaches etc. Otherwise the hotel is very good for the budget. The small balcony is very nice. They have a small restaurant and the complimentary breakfast is limited and if they can add egg will be good. Staffs are welcoming and nice guts.Parking available, highly recommended.

Great Hotel with a good central location in Mangalore. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean. They also let us store our luggage with the reception during the day before our train left.

This is a good place to stay in the heart of the city. The rooms are clean and tidy. Spacious too.The breakfast which is purely veg is fair but could be made better. For a stay this a lovely place. Good Hotel staff.

Had a comfortable stay for 3 nights at this hotel. The staff were all excellent, and I received good recommendations for activities to do in Mangalore. There is a small restaurant called the Burrow serving tasty food attached to the hotel, as well as an option for room service. The Burrow had one staff member supervising who was friendly and professional. The location is fantastic and right in the centre of the city. The staff and location are the best thing about the hotel. The gentleman on the door was especially helpful throughout my stay, as were the staff on reception. To improve : The room could use some improvement, the fan is extremely loud and the air con is also quite loud, however I sleep with earplugs so this wasn't too much of an issue. The shower also didn't have hot water at times, but it was very hot outside so cooler showers were welcome. For a solo backpacker who was looking to escape hostels to rest up for a few nights, this was excellent overall, however I wouldn't recommend for backpackers looking to socialise as there are no communal areas.

My stay was brief, but the price was reasonable and the rooms were decent. The service was satisfactory, and they had all the basics. The location was convenient for walking to Mangalore Central and there were plenty of good restaurants nearby.

The stay at Hotel Shoolin Grand was pleasant. They offered a unique 9-hour stay, which made life easier for guests checking in during the morning and leaving in the evening. The rooms were tidy and comfortable. Overall a good experience

Amazing service as all staff are extremely welcoming as well as super hospitable in the entirety of your stay. Every day we were greeted by wonderful staff who are also very helpful and can provide you with any extras you need. The four star review was because the rooms had many small cockroaches and some rooms were quite dusty. The A/C sometimes stopped but they were able to fix it quite easily. One of the rooms how were had broken glass from the window but we swapped rooms at no additional fee. Overall great stay and one again thank you to the lovely staff! They also had a restaurant but it was not exceptional food as they had just opened. I hope to have some better food when revisiting
