Hotel Sai Suraj International

We stopped here for a quick snack break and ordered chats along with some sandwich. The food preparation was so bad that we couldn't even finish the snacks properly. Please do not order any sandwich or chats here, instead just stop for a quick coffee/tea/ cold drinks and head back.

I had been to Suraj International yesterday, and ordered Cassata for dessert which is priced at 100 rupees in their menu. However, I was served Ideal's cassata along with its original packaging and the price is rupees 50. When enquired about it, the waiter informed its AC bill and other amenities. I informed him that I wont be paying for it and neither I am gonna consume it, later he took it back and closed the lid. Looks like he will be serving someone else the same cassata. Hugely disappointed, did not expect this from such a reputed restaurant. The serving guy was not evening listening to while serving the food, his eyes were glued to the tv behind us and he was more focused on watching WPL than working.

Bit over priced I'm surprised veg fried rice is Rs 240 Stuffed parata 120 Others are also looks to be heavily priced for the restaurant and ambience.. NOT RECOMMENDING

This rating is for their excellent veg restaurant. Try their Tomato Uttapam and Coconut Uttapam. Especially those who like their dosas made with coconut oil and perfect white chutney must try this.

Stayed recently. Very friendly staff in the front office, restaurant and housekeeping. Tasted Veg food and it is by local food style..Tea and coffee are enjoyable but available only after 7 am . The multicuisine non-veg food is served in first floor Sun city restaurant. Very tasty and delicious with reasonable price tags. Enjoyed the south Canara traditional Kori Rotti chicken gravy. Good dining experience in the restaurant. But the veg restaurant in the ground floor is simple and clean. The room is spacious and bathroom is also clean. The towels supplied were very very old and lost the white or half who're colour of the fabric. Also it small in size. The pillows are also very thin and pillow cover clothes very old and not clean. The electric power cut frequently disturbed sleep during night time. But the location, staff and food are good.

It's shockingly overpriced for the quality of service and amenities provided. The food was absolutely awful--bland, poorly cooked, and lacking any real flavor or variety. For the absurd prices they charge, you'd expect something at least halfway decent, but it was a complete letdown. Additionally, the overall experience felt like a scam. From the moment I checked in, it became clear that the hotel charges luxury rates but offers a budget-level experience. Save your money and stay elsewhere; this place is a rip-off."

Decent Hotel rooms for the price, situated close to the highway but you wont find much shops around the hotel. Food is good both veg and non veg, they also serve alcohol. Staff is prompt and humble. If you are looking for hotels only in Surathkal, this is a good choice for better hotels look at mangalore city where you will have a range of options.

1. Reception Lady was very very Arrogant. She was very annoyed by herself and is not able to speak to people normally. On such days it's better she takes a leave and not show her personal - home anger on others. 2. Rooms are ok 3. AC was working fine 4. Food was ok. 5. Location is on main highway to Udupi.
