Hotel Sai Palace

I often visit this restaurant for breakfast lunch and dinner and I have mixed experience. The ambiance is lovely. However, the service needs improvement. As for the food, some dishes were delicious, while others fell short. I hope if they should work on improving the service to provide a better experience for customers.

Reduced the rating all the way till 1 star primarily because of a bad business practice. They don't have the concept of providing filtered water in rooms and rather male you buy water bottles which was still fine till I saw the bill. The Kinley water bottle that has 20/- as MRP is charged 32/- and there is tax on top of it. 50% markup in the name of providing service is absolutely baseless. There are more ethical ways of making money.

The room was pretty spacious and clean. Bed was quite comfortable. Overall definitely a good experience and would definitely recommend to other people. Their breakfast spread is good and tasty. It's right in the city centre which makes moving around quite easy and there are malls and stores that are stones throw away.

With heavy heart am giving my honest comment.. Today as family I have visited Hotel sai palace - Udipi cafe veg, Hampankatta... Such a worst service right from parking.. Person employed in parking was so irresponsible . My front side glass was broken while exit from parking due to improper arrangement. Please do improve your team..also work on their skills tooo... Irresponsible staffs and their way of reactions are unexplainable... Management should check ...

Ordered for chicken lasooni, boiled vegetables and biryani. , lasooni chicken was hard and chewy. vegetables were served raw, tossed in butter and pepper instead of boiled. What is the meaning of boiled vegetables? Biryani very spicy, less rice more of chicken pieces and filled with spicy masala. No flavour. There is reason to order boiled vegetables isn't it. Disappointed.

The service was so pathetic. So we were 5 people waiting in the queue . They made us wait for 20 min and then they arranged a table which was for four people and said to adjust we agreed because it was already late. Not gonna lie the starters was good but the main course was average and the manager was so rude they didn't know how to behave with customers. I was so disappointed with the service.

Today i visited Udupi Cafe at 10:30 PM and had a mixed experience. The food was excellent and very tasty. However, the service was disappointing. When I placed my order, the staff informed me that it was the last order and asked me to order everything at once. I complied, but later wanted to order dessert (fruit salad with ice cream), only to be told that the kitchen was closed. What was even more frustrating was being asked to settle the bill while I was still eating. The staff seemed to be in a hurry to close, but couldn't wait the extra 5 minutes for me to finish my meal. Having to pay while eating, and juggling my card and payment in one hand, was ridiculous. Overall, while the food was great, the service needs significant improvement.

The restaurant is lovely, featuring excellent food and service. The dishes appeared premium and were quite delicious, although the spice level was extremely high. The staff dressed formally and provided helpful assistance in every possible way. There was a wait to enter, but I believe that was due to my visit on a Saturday.
