Hotel Moon Valley Residency

Booked an AC deluxe room for two nights through OYO bookings.|An upcoming new hotel located about 6 kms from hampanakatte and very near to bijai.|Neatly maintained rooms with clean toilets.|They have two lifts and we were given OYO rooms in 7 the floor. |Staff are very courteous and helpful.|Both veg and non veg food is served in the ground floor and it appears to be a temporary dining hall.|Few suggestions are that (1) hot water stops at 10 am which has to be extended.|(2) sufficient power points are to be provided near the beds and tables.|(3) staff have to be more communicative, as, we missed complimentary breakfast on both days since it was not conveyed to us at the time of admission. |If they take care of these shortcomings, it is definitely a very good hotel for a comfortable stay. |

We are 4 bikers from Bangalore. Our plan was to reach Mangalore from Kannur by 26th night. But unfortunately there was heavy traffic in Kannur - Mangalore highway and we reached Mangalore by 12.00AM. We were already tired of riding and wanted rest so badly. When we reached the hotel, recptionists said rooms were fully occupied. We were shocked. We tried to reason with them but they did not hear to us and moreover they were very rude. They told us that ceartrip would not pay them on time and that is why we have sold the room to somebody else. We had no choice but to call cleartrip.||We called up them and their response not good either. All we asked for was alternative accommodation. They were not ready to help us. They left us on the road in the middle of the night. We had to roam around Mangalore till 2.30 AM to find another hotel.||We goto these guys trusintg them because they give us guarantee. If they cannot guarantee this basic service, whats the point of their existence. What kind of customer service these idiots are providing. They forced us to cancel the booking and get refund. We chose not to do it and file a case on cleartrip in consumer court. We cannot tolerate this kind of attitude.||I am giving 1 rating for all services of the hotel because of their attitude with customers. They were very rude and if we continued fighting, they would have threatened us. If there is an option to give negative rating I would give the extreme negative rating for both the hotel and the cleartrip

This is more of a low-budget lodge than a hotel. Room was ok, only a make-shift restaurant on the ground floor with limited menu. NO hot water throughout the 3 days we stayed even though there is a board at reception saying hot water from 7 am to 10 am. Staff were ok although we literally had to ask a dozen times for our room to be cleant and a request to replace towels after 2 days seemed to come as a surprise to them. Ok place for very short stays, we booked as location was convenient for the purpose of our visit and since there is no other hotel near AJ Hospital.

I came in after a long ride by scooter, about 431 Kms, and saw this hotel on the highway. Very convenient for an early morning start. The room was very clean and spacious, and definitely value for money. After checking in, had a bath and went down to the restaurant for dinner. Had a rice plate with a fried fish, not so great, and returned to the room to rest. Left early next morning. Found the hotel staff very helpful.

We booked online through Oyo, and after much haggling for a room for one night for Rs.1,159 in Mangalore (Oyo, Kuntikan area, opp AJ Hospital). ||||When we showed up at 4 a.m. on Feb 20, 2016, we had to wake up the bellboy, who doubled as the receptionist and security guard. Just as he was entering the details, his Samsung mobile ran out of charge. He tried to call someone on another phone, but got no response. So, he said he couldn't give us a room! Finally, he tried it once again and it went through on the remaining charge.||||The 15 x 7 reception room was full of cardboard boxes containing soap and shampoos, as well as bags of garbage. He refused to show us the room and demanded payment (no receipt until many hours later).||||He then labouriously copied the details of the register in a diary (!!) and I filled in the details, such as name, address and phone number.||||The room was clean, but badly and inconveniently furnished. Since we only wanted a place for a few hours to shower and head to the airport, it was ok. The a/c was noisy and the battery in the remote had not been changed and so we couldn't fiddle with the settings.||||As advertised, there was no hot water at 4 am (it's available only from 7 to 9 am as it clearly says on a note in the lobby). Fine. When my wife tried to shower again at 8 am, there was only very, very hot water and no cold water in any of the taps!||||The wi-fi wouldn't work. I also got an SMS from Oyo about my Oyo wifi password many hours later, after I had checked out and was on the road!||||Breakfast was the biggest letdown, with maida dosa (instead of one made with fermented batter). It was rubbery and horrible. The dining area is the parking lot of the hotel, with cars for company, among cheap and dirty plastic chairs and tables. We instead went across the road to AJ Hospital and ate at their canteen (cheap and clean).||||Since I had made the booking on Oyo, the reception said they could only give me a voucher and no receipt for payment.

We booked through OYO. Room size and toilet size is big but the room was not clean. The sheets were stained and the bed, sheets and pillows had hair on them. Upon brining it to the management's attention, they changed our room. The whole place smells of fish and the hallways are dimly lit with poor lighting. The only plus point is the room and bathroom size.

The hotel is situated exactly opposite to A.J Hospital. Rooms are okay, but it has a restaurant beneath the building that offers tasty food at good rate.
