Roy's Castle Coorg Homestay

For my entire family of 12 Adults+1 child we booked all the five rooms of Roy's Castle at a most reasonable price for 3 nights after knowing that it is about 4 km from Madikeri as my family loved to stay in the natural surroundings. The Castle is on the highway and very safe to drive even during night. The rooms are beautifully furnished with all amenities and very comfortable for a pleasant stay. We found no difficulty even though the Castle is a little bit away from the town as we could reach the town within 10 mins by car. Moreover, the owner and his wife were very friendly extending all kinds of help/guidance and offered good coffee/ tea, extra water bottles at most reasonable price . They could also offer dinner on order. It is the best, safe, economical and comfortable place to stay amidst beautiful natural surroundings very near to Madikeri. We would like to stay again in this place for many more days to get relieved from the mental stress of polluted city life and enjoy nature.

It was very nice experience to us. And owner is so friendly and calm behaviour. He suggests us which place is best to go. Environment is so nice and very beautiful. That charming sound of bird is very attractive.

We had an amazing experience at Roys castle. While booking, seeing the pictures we were not so sure but due to peak season we went with this option. But after coming here and seeing the rooms and cleanliness we were more than satisfied. Will surely book the hotel in advance next time as this gives hotel as well as home stay experience both. Pros: 1. Very well maintained rooms. 2. Hospitality was good. 3. Car parking available. 4. Complimentary coffee was Delicious. Cons: 1. Toiletries could be provided. 2. Brakefast could be included. The hotel room was clean, nice and spacious. Breakfast offered with a wide variety of food. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is just perfect for a hill view. Total value for money

We stayed in this homestay for one night. Our experience was very bad. Staff were hostile, very terrible in giving service. During our stay, we were forced to go to sleep at 10:30pm which limited our enjoy moments. We were asked to pay Rs.750 for fire camp despite they agreed for fire camp while booking the room. I highly recommend not to choose this stay when you visit coorg. Further, thia place is located 5km away from main city. If we need food, we have to travel to city to bring food. Overall my experience was very bad and I don't recommend this homestay

It's nice clean property i strongly recommend to special family and couples... The owner of this place very humble with the guest ... Don't forget when u plaing to madkari coorg must stay here with very reasonable prices...

Great experience and very good hosts, the location is nice and just beside the road. This homestay has nice plantation in the terrace where you can sit and hangout plus the view is also good. Rooms are little smaller but well maintained. Only if they would have provided breakfast option with some extra payment, it could have been best option in budget.
