Madikeri Misty Homestay

We loved our experience here. The rooms are very spacious, and hot water is always available. Loved the view from the house. And the food is too good. Definitely recommend. Not very far from restaurants like Belis( would recommend this place for food)

Bad smell, very high price for damp mattresses. Feels like jail. I am confused from seeing all the good reviews. The bed had bed bugs and the whole sleep was miserable. Very small room with multiple decker beds. The stench was so bad. I had no option since I arrived at the place so late in the night. The only good value I got from this place is their dogs are friendly and played with me.

I had a terrible experience at this homestay. The room was extremely small, cramped with multiple decker beds, and smelled awful. The mattresses were damp, making the high price feel like a rip-off. It honestly felt like I was in a jail cell rather than a homestay. The worst part was the bed bugs that left me scratching all night, making my sleep miserable. I was shocked at how different my experience was compared to the glowing reviews.

We had the pleasure of staying at Madikeri Misty Homestay for 2 nights. We had booked a family room for 4 adults. The rooms are clean. Food is homely and delicious. Location is scenic. Caretakers are attentive and humble. Owner Mr. Joseph is polite. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for home away from home experience in Coorg.

Myself and my friend family stayed for 2 nights. We felt stayed in our own house because House owner family was very nice and the food prepared by care taker was good and tasty. Good service at reasonable price and the location was good.

My stay was a disaster. Damp mattresses, a putrid smell, and the price for the room not being worth one bit made for a miserable experience. The cherry on top? Bed bugs! It felt like being trapped in a cramped, grimy cell--utterly unacceptable and a far cry from what I expected.

A good, neat, Hygienic Homestay. People are warm, welcoming and friendly. Rooms are neat with clean sheets and bathrooms are very clean. Food tastes homely & good. Nice place to stay with a family. Please carry your Bluetooth speakers if you want to have Bonfire. They have one but wired speakers. The 1 star missing is for providing paper plates for breakfast. It would be great if they provide a proper plates or proper disposable plates.
