Ikyam

I recently stayed at Ikyam Backpackers Hostel in Madikeri, and it was an amazing experience. The setup is superb -- it's not just a hostel or a homestay, it's much more than that. The place has a unique charm that makes solo travelers feel right at home. The balcony seating area is especially relaxing and offers the perfect spot to unwind and find peace after a long day of exploring. It truly provides a peaceful and rejuvenating atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone looking for more than just a place to stay!

The stay went like staying in Heaven. The view of the great nature is absolutely stunning and amazing, we were able to have complete fun and enjoy at the free place that was front of our room - a place to sit and enjoy the amazing mountains, greenery, the sound of the nature & better to be relaxed at. The room was great and nice, the beds were cozy and comfortable. Huge shoutout to the owner who was very helpful in guiding us and assisting us with whatever the situation is.

I had a really great time staying at Ikyam! It's super convenient, right by the bus station but still totally chill. The rooms were clean and the common area was a great place to hang out. The hosts were the best! They're clearly super passionate about the area and totally get what travelers need since they've been there themselves. I even went on a short trek with them, which was awesome. They also gave me some killer tips on where to go, including some hidden gems. Ikyam was definitely a highlight of my trip. I'd totally recommend it!

Typical homestay in coorg.. wonderfully hosted by Anil and Anusha. They were always available at a message. If luxury is not your point and want to have a good local experience in quiet residential area in coorg go for this. Had a new experience.

Anil was a great host and we loved our time at the property. He was really helpful with suggestions and arranging with our requirements. The place has good views and open space to sit back and relax. Definitely recommended!!

Stayed for 3 nights at Ikyam (2 adults and 1 kid) and we had the best service! Plenty of informations given and Anil was SUPER helpful in every way (restaurants, transportation, giving us lifts with his own car...). Our room and the whole hostel itself was really clean and we really enjoyed resting on the terrace away from the heat with a nice breeze. He took us to a beautiful hike on the hills for sunset and was always available in case we needed anything. Just before leaving, as we were sitting on the bus waiting to go to Bangalore, he even raced to buy gifts for our daughter who was really sad to leave! All in all : amazing stay and memorable service! Thanks again for everything!

Our stay at ikyam was truly memorable, rooms were very clean , we booked dormitory even though it's small but it's well furnished and clean . I have to mention this , the balcony and view is a great place to be in , especially for a gang , it's really good for students like us . I really loved the experience and I'll surely come back again , and accomodaters were truly helpful and sweet .

Had a lovely time here! Anil was so helpful with any questions I had! He had great local food and coffee recommendations. And the place was a lovely space to relax and away from the bustle of central Madikeri.
