I visited here in February 2018, having a back problem and often finding relief during my travels at various Ayurvedic centers through South India.||||I have traveled a lot in India over many years and have been used to various standards of price and comforts. However, the state of the economy rooms here was shocking, being little more than a row of poorly converted cow sheds with huge gaps in between the rooms and bare roof tiles with no insulation, thus heating the room to unbearable heat during the day and allowing a plague of mosquitoes to enter in the night. Dirty and holey mosquito nets are provided, but floors, walls and bedsheets were filthy.||||The treatments for men are done outside in cloth-covered area, that are extremely hot and provide no privacy. The young staff of masseurs are keen but have very little experience, thus when I mentioned particular pains they were unable to do anything other than the standard massage they had been taught. Treatments here are only 45 minutes long when most other centers offer a minimum of 1 hour. ||||One can find much more professional treatments at the many Ayurvedic Resorts and drop-in places between Kumta and nearby Gokarna. I suggest that if you are looking for proper Ayurvedic treatment; before you commit, ask how many years experience the masseurs have. A minimum of 5 years is recommended. ||||The doctor who owns and runs the place gave me a perfunctory 5 minute interview and was extremely condescending when I mentioned having had many years experience of Ayurvedic treatment. ||||The worst part of my experience was when the arrogant doctor changed the price that he had originally quoted me (adding 25%) and I questioned this, he told me that he was a doctor and therefore was not to be questioned and if I chose I could leave immediately. I was dumbfounded and amazed at this attitude and left as soon as I could make alternative arrangements. ||||The only positive comments I can make are that the staff are pleasant, the lunch provided is clean and nutritious and the location is quiet and not far from the beach.

Good location for people looking for authentic Ayurveda treatments. Reserve enough time for the treatments. Check website of the centre for available treatments. Good location to calm down and recover. Very nice team. Always felt comfortable. Located directly at the beautiful Kaddle Beach.
