MAYURI ECO BEACH RESORT (SHANBHAG RESIDENCY)

Location is fantastic and property is also quite huge.Less than 5 mins to reach the Eco beach.We had booked 4 rooms for 3 nights. 1.No room service done by them in 3 days when we stayed there from1st May to 4th May.Room keys were given to them yet did not clean for the whole day. 2. Towels were not upto the mark...Colour had spread on it and its strings were coming out sticking to our skin and clothes...hygiene not maintained.We had to go and ask for the towels at the reception. 3. Dustbins were not emptied during the stay duration. 4. Food quality inside the hotel resort was not good ...Shanbag restaurant on the outer side was having really nice home cooked like food. 5. Service agents were very rude and resort was not having adequate people to manage too many guests. 6. Breakfast is not available on to order, it's mandate for all guests to pay 180/- for unlimited breakfast even if they chose to have 1 idli or tea.In breakfast also there was a waiting queue as breakfast items were over and they were preparing inside the kitchen. Idli,medu Vada, Shira, buns ,pulao , sambhar ,chutney ,tea and coffee was provided in the unlimited menu.Breakfast starts at 8.30 am which is quite late. 7. They didn't check facilities in room before guest checkin.They replaced the fridge only after reminding and shouting. 8.Extra beds were given v late at night saying that they don't have staff to send the beddings. 9.Intercom was not working and had to go the reception for everything we needed any service. 10.One thing that was helpful was they provided us an extension of 1 room from 12 to 5 pm on extra charges on last day i.e Sunday.This was on repeated requests they did nt pay heed initially but a prompt lady later reverted back in 15 mins and confirmed room extension. 11 in-house restaurant took more than 1 hour to serve food after ordering and some items were not even brought till the end.The person said there are lot of customers today. If the management and service staff give excellent service , it will be worth the resort stay.

Rooms are pretty basic and small. I didn't like the bed spreads. Looks very cheap. The private beach which they claim as their USP has no proper lighting. But the location is really good with very good parking space and the service is excellent. The staff is very supportive

We were a group of 12. By far a very good property, near the beach but an equally pathetic service and rude behavior including the owner Shanbaug who also owns the Mayuri restaurant outside. The room wasn't cleaned for 3 nights. The fridge doesn't work, the rooms have only 2 bulbs without a window so you feel like you are staying in a jail/ bunker. The intercom doesn't work, and the staff is rude enough to say that you will have to personally come every time when you need something, rather than, let me fix that quickly. The extra beds were provided after repeated requests and raising voices. That too they denied to make the bed. They will just provide all materials and say make the bed yourself. They don't provide any Toiletries just a soap. The towels are clean but the quality is really bad, the strings comes out easily and sticks on body. On the staff denied to provide table when asked to have dinner in the lawn as we were a group of 12, infact there were 3 more families allowed to dine. Water bottles were provided after we asked. The owner and his staff was rude enough and told us that they will not support with either food service as they weren't able to manage the customers. They don't even have enough space to keep the luggage after checkout. We ate at the restaurant looking at the reviews.. the food doesn't taste good, chicken was rubbery, service is extremely slow, the food is made by Nepali people and it's pathetic, no local taste. The restaurant next to it called Shanbaug is 100 times better in food quality and service. The beach is superb and just a walk behind the resort. I will never stay at this resort and will never ever recommend anyone here.

Not worth the price. Room wasn't clean, single bathroom for a 6 bed suite room. Water logging in bathroom. AC doesn't function in generator power supply. There is no veg only restaurant in this resort. There is no private beach to this property. The beach behind this property is like a haunted beach, nearly no one in the walkway of the beach and nearby. Cost is too high for the kind of rooms they provide.

Hi 1) worst service 2) morning time except wada and idli.. u will not get anything.. 3) arrogant behaviour of waiter staff .. 4) no proper dressing off staff .. 5) after doing room service they claim us for money100 rs. 6) no one ready to provide glasses in room ... 6) No proper management .. 7) no towel aee changed 8) no water bottle are provided .... if any one interested pl see our review ...

Rooms are good, equipped with AC. It's right next to the highway and midway to Gokarna and Udupi. Food is good, both Veg and Non Veg are separate. Private beach is the highlight of this resort. Less crowded and you can enjoy early morning walks on the beach peacefully.

Very good ambiance, Rooms, and place. To stay here and make your time is favourable. Need more care in terms of cleaning as it is time restricted as per info. Travelers visit time and cleaning people time is not matching which creats trouble and lawn cleaning in night is required. Rest the place location and people are very good. It was an awesome experience. I liked the nature and good atmosphere there. The food was very good.A well maintained family restaurant with reasonable price and friendly staff.well equipped rooms.I would firmly recommend this resort for stay and food.
