Devbag Heritage

We recently stayed at Devbag Heritage with our kids and friends and had such a great experience during our stay. The location of the resort is amazing- walking distance to the beach. The resort itself was so beautiful with lush green gardens surrounding it. Rooms were very well maintained. And the pool was very clean. The best part was the food. Local cuisine which was freshly made for us. The owner of the resort Mr. Pednekar was amazing with his hospitality. Very polite and always welcoming with a smile on his face Would definitely visit again the next time we are in Karwar.

Location is good, rooms need improvement. Changed 3 rooms as the bed sheet were stained. Tv needs improvement Some rooms had leakage of AC water into the room Bathrooms are neat but need attention. Over good experience by Karthik, who has been attentive and provided best of the services

This place is few km away from karwar and has iconic calmness and great beauty of self made structures a private swimming pool in the area increases its luxuriness manyfold. The living areas are very much facilated and one can spent a quality time here with their loved ones.

Devbag Heritage is good place. Good place for family wise. Peaceful , property is maintained good. We had friends trip to this place, swimming pool is clean and safe, surrounded by trees and plants will feel you much better. Food service can be improved. Rest all is value for money

Had a very memorable & great experience in Devbag Heritage!! Would highly recommend this place to stay in Karwar. Very spacious clean rooms and swimming pool. The property is surrounded with lush green and very peaceful ambience. On a plus the beach is just a walk away.. The best part is the delicious fresh food that is served. We were served the best of the local cuisines!! The resort owner and the entire service staff is extremely helpful, polite and ensures guests all needs & comfort. All in all had a great stay with family. Would definitely visit again when next in Karwar!!

It was an experience with mixed emotions when I stayed in Devbag Heritage Resort with my family. To put my experience in detail, let me divide it by listing pros and cons. Pros: 1. Ambience: I opted for Maharaja Cottege which was like suite with a verandah and a bedroom. 2 single beds and one king size bed. Furniture are all wooden like antique. Bathroom was spacious with quality fittings though shower was not working fine. 2. Location: The property is huge. You need to travel for around 100 meters from gate to reception. Beautiful garden with trees and shrubs. Total quiet and peaceful surroundings. You can play outdoor games like football, badminton, etc in the garden. 3. Swimming Pool: For me, it was the USP of this resort. Separate pool area for both kids and adults. Pool is cleaned everyday and maintained well. Cons: 1. Service: It was bit disappointing to see that the service was not that good. You need to call the reception many times before anyone picks. I didn't even get a cold bottle of water. 2. Food: You need to specify what you want to eat and the cook will prepare it. But, I think food was prepared earlier and they heated the food at the time we started eating it. Additional: 1. Beach Access: You need to walk for around 500mts to reach the beach. You can also take your vehicle and park in the narrow road where even a bus goes. Better to walk down the road to the beach. 2. Activities: For a big resort of this kind, I was expecting a space for indoor games like carrom, TT or any such kind but there is none. Request the management to add some games. Overall, it was an average experience in staying at Devbag heritage resort.

If you are visiting Karwar do not forget check out Devbag Heritage resort for your stay. Located in Sadashivgad, just 10 mins from the main Highway 66 that runs to Goa. Firstly, the rooms are very spacious and well equipped with all the amenities. We stayed here with our 2 year old and it was absolutely wonderful. The fridge was stocked with a lot of refreshments, the bathroom was very neat and clean which is very hard to find. There was a vestibule outside where you could stand and enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the beautiful resort. Secondly, the pool. It was one of the highlights. There is a toddler pool and an adult pool. It was very neat and clean. With kids, I think the best thing to have is a toddler pool. Our son thoroughly enjoyed splashing water and just being in the pool. There is enough space to chill and relax by the pool and lots of shade too. In addition, the staff was very friendly and helpful with all our asks. Describing the resort without mentioning about their amazing mouth watering food is incomplete. The fish fry was sumptuous, complemented with prawn biryani, dal fry, chicken chilly and plain rice. They did serve my son quickly as we asked for curd along with rice. Eating fresh fish after so long was really great. Lastly, everything is very close by. That evening we were just able to walk 10 mins and reach Devbag beach. Very clean and few locals around. And lots and lots of shells at the beach. The sunset at the beach was beautiful. All in all, I would say its an amazing place to stay which enriches your travel experience. Neat, clean, enough parking, no loud noises, spacious and more. The owner is definitely very welcoming. Do check it out the next time you visit Karwar or pass through the town.

Thanks to resort people who are maintaining the property and adding effort for comfortable stay. Sharing my experience from afternoon 3:00pm to next day 8:30am. Location: ( 600m to beach you cannot walk in night and access road to beach is very narrow not good for cars) Rooms: ( rooms are big but received two single bed as standard double room) Room condition: (rooms are clean however room furniture old and observed fungus) Value for money: ( disappointed coz I paid to Goibibo which was very high and not received proper service ) Restaurant Seevice: ( not functional only received brk fast which I was not expected due to resort other condition however thanks to them received 1 item and tea which was good to start my morning journey)
