Chikkamane Homestay

Caretaker was very polite and took care of giving us facilities which we required. Food provided at homestay is hygiene and good for family. Kids enjoyed playing games, swimming pool. Place of stay is nearby city, easy access for shopping. We had a pleasant stay overall.

Just love love and love for this accommodation! Has a perfect size pool , amazing sunrise facing balconies, if you are early , you can actually spot peacocks nearby during correct weather ! Amazing homely food , cook aunty and uncle are so sweet ! It's a well detached property with almost all necessary amenities except AC which is really not required , it's really cool inside. Also very close to town centre

One of the worst experience I have ever encountered. This was my first trip to chikmagalur and I spoke to the owner of the property apparently Sharath and had set the expectations very clear. He said he has alot good facility in the property which is again pet friendly as well. I was assured of a nice and comfortable stay as it was my first trip and it was for some special occasion as well. But it turned out to be the dead opposite of what was said and assured. There was no proper maintenance of the property, the sofas and all the games which was told is there like snooker, carom etc was all broken and looked very old. Sofa was all broken and springs were out. The pool they offered was so dirty that i can't even imagine anyone in that case to jump in and relax. It was not even filled with enough amount of water. Rooms were drty with all pigeon poops and trees branches. There was no water and electricity. Even after having the generators they did not even bothered to switch it on, despite of my friends saying about my health Condition as I was going breathless because of the heat and I have asthma, They did not switch it on. Caretaker was so rude, I called up the owner who was not staying there and complained about it, so maybe the owner sharath called the Caretaker. This Caretaker directly came up and started yelling at us and said if you are not comfortable leave the property. Already I had made the payment and after this I literally had to look for last minute reservations in different place. When I asked for the money back Caretaker was saying he will dedict the money of 2k and send. This was a horrible experience in my lifetime. I am a traveller who had been to almost all the places in India, but this was my worst experience. I will definitely not refer anyone to visit this place and stay unless you want an uncomfortable experience for anyone..Thank you.

We stayed in this homestay for two days, we had a wonderful stay. This place was taken care by a couple who is really friendly and cooks mouth watering food. They were very open in telling us TV is not available when we asked for a second day for other room. Also they helped us in booking auto and suggesting places. Room : Rooms are clean and has nice views. They have couple rooms and family rooms. The arrangement looks like a home with few amenities like lake view, pool, carrom. If you like to either stay at the place or to roam this is easily accessible from bus stop. Food : The couple who takes care of this place will inform you what they will provide for breakfast, she prepares best food. We had poha and poori for a day and veg pulaav and upma the next day. They will suggest veg and non-veg food for dinner if you want to opt. Breakfast is complimentary and dinner is on additional charge. They will also provide coffee whenever you asked for. Location : Location is easily accessible and tourists spots are in and around the place. You can hire a can Or auto for a day trip and cover most of the places. Overall it was affordable and comfortable place for us. We enjoyed the stay.
