Booked seeing good reviews and must say that I am happy about it. The room was very spacious, very clean with amenities like private pool, bathtub, small kitchen to cook basis stuff. Their room service was impeccable. Food was great in taste. Above all extremely courteous staff members. Have already planned to come again few months.

My name Aarthi, I Had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Srinagar! The staff were warm and welcoming right from the moment we arrived. The reception team was incredibly helpful with check-in. Rooms were clean, cozy, and well-maintained. A special shoutout to the housekeeping team , they kept everything spotless and were quick to respond to any requests. Their attention to detail really made a difference. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for comfort and great service in Srinagar!
I recently stayed at the grand retreat resort, and it was an incredible experience! The staff were exceptionally polite and helpful. The food was absolutely delicious. Every meal felt like a treat, and the quality was top-notch. The facilities were excellent - everything was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully designed. Overall, the resort exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect holiday.
I visited this resort two weeks ago with my family. We had booked the Suite with private pool for 4 adults. This was a complete staycation, so we didn't go out of the property. We had a very good time there. My son enjoyed the adventure activities. Food was good. This place was very quite and close to nature. Except for few initial hiccups, our stay was good and pleasant.
The Good: Easily accessible (only by car), decent location. Resort maintained well. Room was huge & good. Small private pool was good enough for quick dips. Resort seemed new & facilities were being still done. Bathroom & toilet were clean & stocked. Bed & room were clean. High tea was good & complimentary with good coffee & snacks. Food was very nominally priced for a la carte & even room service.||Not so good: Restaurant was badly managed, food wasn't good. Morning breakfast was a mess. Staff were clueless. Long waiting time. Absolutely no local food dishes. Even a la carte menu didn't have any local dishes. South Indian food also not great.. filter coffee in coffee land was disappointing. Very limited timings for room service.||No shade for car parking. Staff didn't seem too well trained. Few were friendly and most seemed disinterested.||Very expensive.. We paid 20k for a pool villa. maybe only for the long weekend but definitely not worth the price. Didn't even feel like extending our stay.||The regular rooms were near the main Pool & Reception with a view of the garden & coffee plantation around. Our Pool villa room did not have much of a view. One side had a small coffee plantation. Most villa rooms could view only each other rooms outside. The pool inside the villa was smallish but good for a quick dip & to relax. Room was designed & furnished well, spacious as well. Smart TV had all apps but none worked due to poor network.||The property is just about 3 acres and does not have much facilities. It seems new & well furnished and have to maintain well. Rope activities for the kids were decent. Very few outdoor activities like a field walk & unimpressive outdoor badminton. The main pool did not feel big and was not maintained very well we felt.||Overall, was decent for a 1-night stay. We may not return to this property again since there are several other good options in Chikmagalur at similar prices.|We can recommend to anyone if it fits their budget and other better properties are not available.
I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the wonderful experience I had during my recent stay at your property. The beauty of the place was truly captivating, and it provided the perfect backdrop for quality time spent with my family. The hospitality of your staff was exceptional, and the food was simply great. Thank you to all the staff and team for making our visit memorable. We truly appreciate the attention to detail and the care you provided.
Overall experience in the resort is very nice. Staffs are helpful and friendly. Restaurant food taste so well. Plantation walk we got to know lot information about a coffee, Shabaz detailed us more insights during this walk. We really appreciate that.
There are pros and cons to this property. As a verdict it is a beautiful property with some extremely helpful staff. However, it is overpriced and not a 5 star property. We had fun so 4 stars but it is actually a 3 star experience. I had booked the resort for a friend's 30th birthday. Goods: Service: 6/5. Shabaz was exceptional in everything from coffee nature walks to helping my friend overcome fear of outdoor adventure activities and roasting sessions. Will never forget his nuggets of coffee wisdom. Some staff in restaurant were very kind and helpful. Most staff are more than happy to help for anything. From badminton to parcelling last minute maggi for our return trip. Room: 5/5. The Jacuzzi Room is extremely spacious and comfortable, with great views. Lots of plant pots in room. Architecuturally mess though as you need to go down and climb up stairs post using lift to get to room (with keycard). Bads: Food: 2/5. Though priced decently in a buffet not more than 2-3 items were in decent to goodish range. Definitely not expected from a 5 star resort. Ambiance: 2.5/5 The lightning and mood of resort overall was good. However entrance and lobby etc was like a fancy homestay at best but not a 5 star resort. Can have a little focused reception area, maybe some pieces of art for some good vibe and some common areas. Entry board is little more like a home stay than a resort. Architectural issues glaring. Biggest complaint: The power kept going off every hour or so for 1 min. Even my 30k/month society (vs 10-20k/day here) has better power backup. This is absolutely horrible. There has to be an automated way to trigger backup that doesn't make you lose wifi, ac, tv, lights, jaccuzi and fan for few minutes every 1-2 hours. My friend had to take a work call and every 45 mins they have to fumble to turn on mobile data for 2-3 minutes. Resort overall: 3/5 I had an awesome time. However bit of mixed feeling with expectation of a 5 star resort. It is a relatively small resort (3.5 acres). Had it been larger it would've been more fun taking walks/cycling. Loved the staff and the overall calming vibe. There's a stream near the villa. Many villas still under construction but thankfully not active (no noise). Decent game room. For the price point I had expected something amazing. I mean a luxury room in The Lalit in middle of Delhi costs the same. It was a great experience with the hills and the greenery however it was not incredible. Might have been a good deal for ~5-10k per night but not for 10-18k per night (depending on room configuration).
