Shanbhag Hotel

Quick break fast option Had visited early morning for break fast. All the items ordered were served quickly and were good. The prices were comparatively cheap too. Located well within the Hospet city, very close to the bus stand. Suitable for a quick stop in the middle of journey.

We will have a quality breakfast and open the shop at 6:00 AM, ensuring we are the first business open for the day. Tea is very good We tried idly and vada...it was nice... 2 people cost is around 240

This place is like these bhooth banglas we find in movies. It's soo big and majestic, it seems like we've entered into the 19th century again. I will not complain about the rooms at all because for such a low price, there's no way you'll find any place better than this. So I would highly recommend this place if you're travelling on a low budget.

The worst place to have food... trust me u can eat on road sides but not frmt his hotel theu r serving u insects n worm and the oil they r using has a very good aroma that u can't evn take a bite.....

Though the hotel looks nothing like a palace from the lobby but it's only partially operating and it's restaurant serves some veg impeccable breakfast and excellent tandoor options. Liquor lovers also have a seperate section though non veg serving is very very slow

15/12/2024 So we wanted to go to Tungabadhra Dam and road was closed and we were lost so only location we know for great food was Shaanbaag and that security was great and helpful and now his instructions were proper. Food was exceptional again. Masala Dosa it was great, Yummy. And 60 Rs well affordable. Only thing no tea after 11 AM that is disappointing. Service was slow too this time we sat in South Indian section and at 5:45 PM maybe it's their closing time. Receptionist was counting all PayTM Money. 27k. Too Great for a day sale. Also there is Resto Bar of Shaanbaag opposite to this. Maybe that's for Room. 14/12/2024 We were starving after a long morning of sightseeing in Hampi, so we decided to have lunch in Hospete. My dad, always the researcher, found out that Shaanbaag was the most popular restaurant, so we headed there. We followed the Google Maps directions and started going towards it. It was in our road to Hampi. but be warned: the security guard's enthusiastic, joyous and helpful will say "come- come!" (Like aanedo aanedo) might be a bit risky so use your own driving skills. The restaurant had two sections: North Indian upstairs and South Indian downstairs. There was even a "family zone" with a photo of Swargiya lady that hide "FAM"!and only showed "ILY" (a bit spooky, if you ask me. I think I am going to help after this). All the staff were super friendly and really quick with the service. The menu said this restaurant is there since 1982. The restroom was a bit of a time capsule, and it is common toilet or let's just say it wasn't fancy and not clean. But the food! Wow! The Veg Thali was amazing. It was different from the food we have in Goa, with a delicious sambhar. Soup though disappointed me as we ordered for sweet corn and there wasn't single corn in it. The handwash area was clean, which was a nice touch. And the prices were very reasonable for such a tasty meal. This Shaanbaag reminded me of the one in Goa, the and the food is definitely worth it.

definitely won't go to this place again...firstly the worst thing is plates were not washed from previous serving , could find sambar remaining dried in plates as I was the first customer early in the morning...food was not atal worth it.. definitely a big no... won't recommend this to anyone...

This location pales in comparison to the other Shanbagh, which features both a bar and a restaurant with dining options. We ordered the Mysore masala dosa, but you can't expect the same delicious experience here. The dosa served was subpar and lacked flavor, especially considering the high price. I strongly encourage everyone to visit the other Shanbagh right across the street for a much better dining experience.
