Our stay at this hidden gem in Hampi was nothing short of wonderful. Tucked away from the main city, the resort offered a peaceful retreat, and thanks to the exceptional hospitality of the property Manager, Mr. Muniraju, the distance was never an issue. ||He seamlessly arranged our pickup, ensuring a smooth arrival--even in the wee hours of the morning. We were greeted with warm smiles and promptly escorted to our cottage, which was spacious, spotless, and inviting.||Though the AC wasn't working efficiently on the first day, Mr. Muniraju had it fixed the very next morning as soon as we reported it. The bathrooms were large and impeccably clean, adding to our comfort. While the rooms are simple and unpretentious, the outstanding service more than made up for it. ||Food was amazing on all days, with simple native flavors and they even cared for special requests if any from all guests, not just us.||A special mention to Shankar--our driver, guide, and ever-thoughtful companion throughout the trip. His politeness and care ensured that we felt comfortable at all times. We are equally grateful to Veeranayakan in the dining hall, Parshu, the housekeeping folks, security and the entire team for their humility, kindness, and exceptional service. One felt like their personal guest and not just any other visitor to this Govt. of Karnataka facility.|| Another good thing is that their itinerary is quite adequate; one needn't bother too much about the planning bit; talk to the team a bit and they will chart out the plan for you based on the number of days you have. We also took their help to book a full day guide, Lakshmi, who took us to all the important sites and gave us perspective and knowledge about all the places we visited. Visiting Hampi without a guide might be futile unless you are just browsing the place for the sake of visiting. ||||If there are a few small suggestions: ||||- it would be that the rooms could benefit from a touch of upmarket decor, ||- a few corners could be more brightly lit (since its a jungle property and one bright light could help in checking that there are no wild uninvited visitors in the room) and there could be a bit more maintenance||- Better wi-fi connectivity in the rooms as well. ||||However, with the level of care and hospitality we received, these details felt insignificant.||||A heartfelt thank you to the entire team for making our experience in Hampi so memorable!

We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were excellent.. especially Maruti who helped us arrange cars and guides. The food was very good. Breakfast buffet was ample with orders for eggs, dosas, and other items. Location is convenient for seeing sights. We spent 3 full days touring Hampi and felt quite happy with a mix of culture, history, and nature. We probably could have reduced 4 nights to 3 but we were quite happy. Our guide. Ram, provided by the hotel was incredibly knowledgeable and probably the best guide we ever had. We would probably stay here again if we come back to Hampi for its convenience, great service, and price range. It does need a refurbishment though and that's the only negative.

We booked our stay here in November 2024 and might I add that our experience was no less than 'marvellous'. Everything about this place has been so wonderful, starting with the hospitality, food, stay (loved the hammock :-)), safari and the best of all, our guide, Mr. Shankar. Starting with pointing at the (rare sighting of) 'Indian-eagle owl' we were treated with close proximity sightings of many exotic birds and sloth bears. Adding that to visiting the architectural marvels of the Great Vijayanagara Empire, our experience was no less than Incredible! Our guide got us to end our trip with a beautiful sunset view atop 'Matanga Betta' Tbh, as we are Telugu, we expected a little frustration but that never happened and we felt like we were back home in Telangana. Thank you, Shankar for being such a nice guide :)

We had a great time with our parents and kids. It's not just this resort-- all Jungle Lodges are equally good. I have visited most of them, and they are exceptionally well-maintained. Our safari guide, Parashuram, was excellent at spotting birds, and Mubarak took great care of my parents, ensuring their comfort as both are senior citizens. The food was excellent, the location was beautiful, and the staff were wonderful.

The stay and itinerary are fantastic, and the food is enjoyable for all three meals. However, the travel arrangements to nearby locations feel quite rigid, almost like a strict school schedule. There's limited flexibility, which can create pressure for families and friends to adhere to the timetable. We also requested to travel separately in another vehicle since we have seven members in our group, but we did not receive a positive response. Instead, we were required to join another group. It would be helpful to mention in your itinerary that this is a group trip with strict travel timings, as it may assist others in making their booking decisions. Unlike other providers (JLR only), where separate arrangements are made for groups that are running late, here the rules are quite strict, and we are expected to mingle with other groups. We are paying for a relaxing and rejuvenating experience, but as I mentioned, it feels more like adhering to a strict school schedule. Cheers to those considering booking here--be mindful of the staff's timings!

Good place for your vacation and relaxed recreation, one thing is it's not a great place for wildlife photography. You can plan in the month of August and September. Rooms are amazing. Next is your network is not good inside the resort.

This is a great way to see Hampi as you get to see the best of both Nature & wildlife as well as our history, cultural and architectural heritage, the latter being so special at Hampi. Officers and staff of JLR are excellent and food simple, healthy and fabulous. Would definitely want to recommend to all.

One of the best JLR properties around. The sloth bear sighting from watch tower was a nice experience, where we spotted bears, wild boars an peacocks. It was a nice experience to be in the middle of the forest. On day 2 , we managed to cover most of the places in the holy and royal enclosures. They helped find a good guide for our group. The food as usual, is very comforting for such travels - not much masala, hygienic and decent variety. Only suggestion would be to maintain the common restroom near the gol ghar in better cleanliness. Special mention to Venkatesh and rest of the team members.
