We booked this stay just after the new year on the 4th of January. The location is fantastic just a two minute walk to a pristine beach. The house however is badly maintained for the price - approx 30k per night for 3 bedrooms (no food included). The toilets in particular are bad with leaking taps, wash basin that's loose and about to fall, toilet flush old and rusty. They don't give hand towels only bath towels. The care taker Jitender is very good and helpful. He also cooks very good food, however the other support staff seems lazy. The kitchen top is dirty and not cleaned properly, and so are the dinner plates. Overall not a great experience for the huge price premium they charge.

The location is good, just a short walk from the beach. However, don't be misled by the pictures--they don't represent the property accurately. The property is in poor condition. We just completed a two-night stay, and the garden area was unusable. The windows offer no view as they're blocked by palm leaves. I strongly advise against opting for the food, as the caretaker overcharges with no transparency. The quality and quantity do not justify the price. There's no menu, and the prices are exorbitant. It's better to order food from outside or confirm costs beforehand. Additionally, the refrigerator and washing machine were not working. We had to wait for morning tea as the caretaker had to go out to buy milk. Room cleanliness was also an issue--towels were not clean, and general housekeeping was lacking

The property is located at a beautiful place and the rooms are also good. But the service is pathetic. 18k for a 3 bedroom villa and no breakfast included. We ordered breakfast and they gave us neer dosa which was tasteless and chutney too was tasteless. They asked us which fruit we needed and gave us hardly few slices and were not ready to refill for extra payment also. No ice or cold water was made available. After our checkout time they purposely switched off ac in our rooms. Overall very bad experience wouldn't recommend anyone for this price

I feel compelled to bring to your attention the serious issues we encountered during our recent stay at your property, SaffronStays Ocean Pearl Hejamady Beach Mangalore, from June 7th to June 9th, 2024. Despite being charged 45,000 for what was described as a luxurious villa, our experience was far below expectations, resulting in significant inconvenience and distress, especially since we were traveling with three families, including two newborn babies. Here are the specific issues we encountered during our stay: 1. **Stained Beds and Linen:** The bedsheets and pillowcases were visibly stained, which is unacceptable for any accommodation, let alone a luxury villa. 2. **Dirty Floors:** The floors were dirty upon our arrival, which is both unsanitary and unpleasant. 3. **Unhygienic Water Dispenser:** The water dispenser provided was filthy, and there was no proper supply of mineral water, putting our health at risk. 4. **Unavailable Food Service:** We were informed that the cook had to leave for an emergency, leaving us with no ready food service. This forced us to travel 2-3 KMS to find nearby restaurants, causing great inconvenience. 5. **Unresponsive Property Managers:** After we booked, the property managers were uncooperative and repeatedly denied any requests we made. We literally had to fight our way through to get things done, adding to our frustration and stress. These issues are particularly concerning given the amount we were charged and the expectations set by your marketing. We selected SaffronStays Ocean Pearl - Hejamady Beach Mangalore expecting a hassle-free and comfortable experience, but unfortunately, our stay was marred by these significant shortcomings. .The quality of accommodation and service we received was unacceptable, and we believe compensation is warranted for the distress and inconvenience caused. Another major issue is the falsified images on the website, the place is not even 30% like the pictures on your website. The place is falling apart, the door handles don't work, the toilets are slippery, tiles cracked in the bathroom, the bedsheets and towels are stained. Saffron Stays does not take any responsibility for the property. The surrounding garden is overgrown and unkempt. During my stay from 1st to 4th Oct they conveniently neglected to tell me the cook is not available. Best part is there is no decent eating place in the vicinity. Saffron Stays claims to be a luxury brand which is a sham, best to stay away from this property for the next 2 years.

This is one place which charges you a lot but doesn't provide any facility not even the basics. It's extremely painful to see them loot you by charging you a bomb and they don't provide you the basic amenities. No complimentary breakfast for the price you pay, no hot water facility, no water between 11pm to 6 am , they charge you a bomb for breakfast lunch and dinner and the menu has absolutely nothing to offer. The process of booking is really bad, they are inconsiderate and all they are worried about is money money money. For the price they Charge us there isn't any professional staff to receive the guest and help the guest settle during the check in process. Except for the beach access and the structure of house there is nothing else they can offer for the price we were charged. The bathrooms and bath linen were bad, no water, Ac not working, dirty bed and bath linen, bad quality bed spread, bath rooms had ants and spider. Absolutely waste of your hard earned money.

This is a lovely villa set with the beach on the front and a meandering stream at the back. It's right at the end of the village, secluded from the crowd, making the beach almost a private one.||||The villa has 3 bedrooms, which were spacious and clean. Bathrooms were spic and span. Its surrounded by a well kept garden and a verandah that runs around the house giving guests enough space to spend time out of the room, even if you wish not to go to the beach.||||The caretaker, Mr. Chittaranjan is a great host who makes you feel at home and ensure you have a pleasant stay, always enquiring if there's anything you need.||||The place is over priced and does not offer value for money. Tariff does not include any of the meals, not even breakfast. ||||The food is overpriced (we paid 650 bucks per head for a simple, vegetarian lunch). Though the hosts offered to prepare dinner and serve it in the garden, we chose to step out for dinner (the closest place was Udupi, a 45 minute drive away). We did have breakfast, which was average, to say the least.

Unsafe, Bad services & Worst experience of staying in a hotel, Period. Hote water - Disgusting, falling apart, no hot water. we are paying enough but still, you can not afford a geyser? they gave few buckets of hot water in dirty buckets. Privacy concerns - Rooms have very thin and transparent curtains. Serious Health & Hygiene issues - ppl are having gutka, pan Parag while cooking. Hygiene is an essentiAL issue to all kinds of accommodation seekers FOOD - Breakfast, lunch, dinner & tea nothing was good. saffron converted security guy as a chef. The guy he himself said he is not a chef and paying role of chef till the original chef comes back hotel with pathetic hygiene levels and staff don't know what to do.
